Update on my grandson: Dilan has been a Firefighter for the last 6 years in Kansas City.

Moved my senior year to Quincy. After graduation I married David Parrish and moved to Anchorage Ak. While in Ak. I worked for the Air Force as a long distance telephone operator. At that time I did radio patches to Viet Nam and back to their families to connect the soldiers to talk with their families. These were very emotional calls that I will never forget. Lived in LaGrange many years. Went to Gem City College for Cosmetology. Opened my own salon and ran it for 15 years. Divorced and remarried and moved to Norfolk Va. Moved back to Quincy and divorced 2nd husband. Now living in Palmyra where my son and grandson live and work at General Mills in Hannibal. I spend time with my friends and family. Love going to my grandsons football games.
My update: I retired in 2013 from General Mills. After retiring I volunteered at the food pantry in Palmyra. Until last year spent most of my time visiting with family and friends. Had a small garden and enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and going to auctions. I have now moved to Quincy and spend most of my time playing cards at the Senior center. Plus playing texas holdem at nights.

Although it wasn't too funny to me at the time I find it funny now. I was always changing the color of my hair if you remember when I was in high school. I came to school one day when the color didn't turn out right (it was flame orange) really bad!! Mr. Burditt our coach made me run laps in the gym for having orange hair! Guess the joke was on me.
