Johnny and Hall Dillon and Billy Diercks and Dave Mitchell and Chip Otness and Bill Coppock and others I'm probably forgetting and I used to play games for hours in and around John's house. Wiffle ball in the driveway was a favorite.
We also invented a game of "Knee Hockey" in Johnny's basement. We used ping pong paddles, a ping pong ball and wrestling knee pads. The rules were you couldn't leave your knees and had to keep the paddle on the floor. One goal was his mother's antique armoir and the other was a table of some sort. They basically turned into wrestling matches, but we had great fun.
John was a terrific guy and a good friend. Unfortunately, I lost touch with him after high school and was sorry to learn of his passing.
John Hardell was born in Minnesota on December 04, 1946 and passed away on August 06, 2005 at the age of 58.
John and Jane lived in Boynton Beach until his passing and Jane is still there with the many pets they had. She was a great wife for John we talked a few time after his passing.
He was my best man at my wedding to Margaret amd me on August 26, 1967. This next year will be our 50th.
