Susan and I have been good friends since the seventh grade at Edina. She graduated from St. Olaf and went on the get a masters in art history. She also was fluent in French. Susan was extremely bright and talented. She worked for the former Secretary of State, George Schulz in the Hoover Institute at Stanford. She also was an accomplished editor. Susan was fun and interesting to be around. She had many contacts with numerous famous people who were friends of Mr. Schultz. I looked forward to our times together and the fascinating stories. We had plans to spend much more time together once I retired to California. Sadly she passed less than two years after I made the move. She definitely has been missed.

I don’t know if you heard that Val Anderson passed away a couple of weeks ago. So very sad. Her Husband, Jerry Bowen, asked me if I could write some things for her service. He is also looking for pictures. I’m trying to find a picture of the Hornettes from 1965. Val and I were together there and Pom Pom girls together in college. Found my college ones, but missing High School. I tried online, but it occurred to me that you two might have some pictures from all those reunions that I have missed.
If you find anything I would surely appreciate you forwarding them to me.
Her service isn’t until February 3rd, so I have some time.
Merry Christmas to you!
