Bill and I lived across the street from each other when we were quite young. Our mothers were the best of friends and Bill and I were (very) distant cousins. Bill was one year older than I. However when he was in the seventh grade, he broke his leg playing football. As a result he lost a year of school. His family moved a couple of blocks away and we remained friends until after I went to a boarding school for three years then he went to boarding school for a couple of years. His family moved again and by the time we both graduated from Edina we saw very little of each other. Regardless, it was a shock to me that Bill had passed away. The last time I saw him was in 1982. Of all of my friends that I was looking forward to seeing at the reunion, Bill was the one I was most looking forward to seeing one more time. I am saddened by the loss of so many classmates that I knew. Bill's loss was the hardest one for me to take. Rest in peace my friend.
