I was so saddened to hear about Greg's passing. We lived across the street from each other on York Avenue for the first 10 years of our lives...constant companions, playmates. Back in the day, we played in the backyard from sun up to sun down. Riding bikes, playing hide and seek with flashlights in the dusk, making a magical city out of blankets and sheets on our mom's clothes lines and playing on the swingset until we were dizzy. Life was an adventure and full of fun.
Our parents remained best friends until the time of their passing. My mom's heart broke when Greg's mom, Carol, passed away...best friends to the end.
Although Greg and I did not see each other these last few years, we kept in touch with Christmas cards, letters when we came across a hysterical picture of the two of us that we had to share when we found them in old photo albums..
My thoughts, prayers and hope for comfort and peace go out to his entire family. He truly was a gentle, kind, amazing and humble human being.
