BLAESS John Walter Blaess, 38, went to be with his Lord August 2, 2002. Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Edmond on Monday, August 5 at 10:00 a.m. Formal visitation will be on Sunday, August 4 from 5:30 to 7:30 at the Funeral Home. He deeply loved his wife, son and two daughters, but he always knew Christ was first in his life. John was very active in the First Presbyterian Church of Edmond. He served as Deacon and Sunday School teacher for the children's department. He was currently serving on the building committee for the new sanctuary. He was an active leader in BSA Troop 21. John was the owner of Construction Resources Inc. He is survived by his wife, Emily, son, Jack 11; daughters Martha, 8 and Marilyn, 3; his parents Jack and Marilyn Blaess of Edmond; parents in law, Bill and Martha Palmer; sister and brother in law Mary and Joe Zarella, Great Falls, Virginia, sister and brother in law Ann and Steve Kimball, Dallas, TX. John cared for people and was a faithful servant to his Lord. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests Boys Ranch Town or a charity of your choice. Matthews Funeral Home Locally Owned 601 S.
