I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Communications degree. I met my husband Rick at OSU and were married in October 1994...we will have our 15th anniversary this year!
Rick is a native Texan so moving here was inevitable. Leaving my comfort zone, friends and family in Oklahoma was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I am grateful that God gave me the opportunity to trust Him, grow up and now feel blessed that this is my home. I have many special friends & relationships that I have developed here and absolutely love it.
We have 2 amazing children - Hunter & Haley - and really enjoy our family time. Hunter is extremely gifted in sports and we spend lots of time attending his All Star Games. He wants to be an NBA player one day. Haley is our social butterfly and is so not the tomboy that her I was at that age. Her dream is to one day be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader...oh my!
Rick is a Sports Writer & has covered the Dallas Cowboys, Rangers, NASCAR, College Baseball & High Schools. He has appeared on the NFL Network and ESPN and won an Emmy (its 1st year) for an Internet HS show that he hosted & created. He is very talented and we love to watch & talk sports!
I have been working full time in Real Estate for the past 15 years. I started as an Administrative Assistant for a Top Producer and worked diligently through the years to eventually be promoted as the Manager of a 300+ real estate firm in Plano. While it was very rewarding, it required a huge commitment and eventually took its toll.
Since July 2007 I have had severe health issues that caused me to slow down. I preferred to go 90 miles an hour but due to circumstances, beyond my control, had to slow down. I didn't even realize that I needed to "stop and smell the roses" and am so grateful that God put the brakes on my hectic pace and got my attention.
I have had an opportunity to get lots of rest, spend quality time with my family & friends and have been required to depend on others and ask for help. I feel stronger in my weakened state as being "superwoman" is so overrated.
I am now able to use my years of experience to provide Consulting and love helping others be productive in their professional & personal lives. I have a passion for Outreach and fulfilled a dream of mine which was to create a Charity. In 2008 I founded the Keller Williams Plano AHA (Agents Helping Agents) program that provides funds to Associates & Staff in an immediate time of need. The funds raised to date are $20K!
The last few years have been challenging and definitely had their ups & downs. Having said that I wouldn't change it for the world. I have a more balanced, prioritized life with a new appreciation & perspective on what's really important. It's definitely the "little things" that are indeed the "big things". It's a Very Good Life!
Look forward to reconnecting with each of you!
