Where do you live?
Dallas, TX USA
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Spare time? What is that? Haha. When I'm not working, I enjoy athletics and still play competitive More…softball. In addition, I like to drink beer (of course), watch sports, travel, collect art and spend time with family and friends.
Tell us about your family:

Married to Jennifer (Jeni) since 2001. Have two beautiful daughters: Alexa (married and living in NYC) and Lani (getting married next weekend - 10/7/22). Just became a first-time grandfather this summer. That was exhilarating as it kind of takes your breath away ... My mother will be 89 in a few months. Still going strong after raising me. Haha. Now, I take care of her. :-)

Been living in Dallas since the early 80's (except for 1 year in San Francisco) after graduating from OU.

What have been the high points of your life since high school?

I have been providing construction cost control and audit advisory service to Owners and Developers since the mid 80's. After spending roughly 20 years with my former partner, I am now the Principal of my own consulting firm (WiszCo, LLC). It has been a steady ride and has afforded me many opportunities and blessings. Still hard at it with no sign of slowing down or retiring (just yet). I do dream about the future holds and that keeps me motivated and inspired.

What are some of the things you remember from your days at EMHS?

It's sometimes fun to look back on our journey and think about where we were and what we were doing in our youthful days. Whenever I visit with young people today, I like to remind them that they have no idea what lies ahead. But, equally the same, the message remains "Enjoy the Journey". As for EMHS, transitioning from the Chicago area while in High School was not easy. Many folks knew most of their classmates since an early age. Obviously, that was not the case for me. I tried as best as I could to "fit in" and make new friends (which I did). But, it wasn't always easy. Sadly, I have not been able to forge any long-lasting relationships with anyone from the Class of '77. The opportunities just never materialized. But, I do have some pretty fond memories of the various folks from that time in my life. Certainly, one of the lasting and most powerful memories that I had was helping EMHS win the State Championship in Track & Field. Anytime that a group of guys (or girls) is able to achieve a championship in team sports (at any level), it creates a lasting bond and a great sense of personal satisfaction. I am grateful for those teammates, some of which were from the Class of '78 and '79. And I am grateful for all of the coaches and teachers who helped me and had a hand in the development of me as a person. It's a part who I am today. Lastly, I am gratefully for the EMHS experience. Had I not relocated from the Chicago area, I'm certain my life would not have been as enriched as it has been (for a variety of reasons).

What would we be surprised to know about you?

There is much in life to be grateful for and I am always impressed by people who conduct themselves accordingly. Sadly, it seems as if our society has deteriorated in so many ways. People are different from each other (as God did create clones). Rather, we are unique individuals and as such, there will ever be a time when all people agree on everything. However, I do believe we can find common ground. I also believe we can show respect toward others (even if we don't see eye-to-eye with them). If I could change the world, it would be to eliminate violence toward our fellow men and women (especially our children). It often sickens me to see what our society is capable of. My prayers and wishes are that we could replace evil with love and compassion, in the hearts of those who struggle ....

Was really hoping to make the 45th Anniversary. But, timing is "everything" and the timing for this event does not work for me (Unfortunately). I thought I'd could make it and waited until the last minute to "cancel". Regardless, Thanks to the organizing committee for making this happen. Hopefully, there will be a "50th" as I look forward to that.

Cheers to ALL and I hope the event is a success!
