Chris: regarding Ms. Geary, yeah, like you said she was pretty cool but could be a witch at the same time. The thing that I always thought was funny about her classes was that she always had a male student sit right next to her desk, literally, right next to her desk. I think she said it was something like the "student of the week desk" but it just seemed funny that all the "students of the week" were always male and always seemed to be the chosen few. I shouldn't be talking smack because I actually sat in the desk a couple of times but I believe Rick Velasco had the record...

Angel: regarding Cecilio, he was a pretty funny guy. He used to crack me up with an impersonation he used to do of Coach Kemp.

Mario and Joe: I will use my skillz to try and locate the missing "Bundinetta". He has a lot to answer for not having logged on. Mario, it is good to see that the Mexican-Words-Of-The-Day that I sent you are improving your Spanglish. I thought for sure your powers of persuasion would have coaxed Bundinetta to come out of the woodworks by now. Joe, even if I do get Bundinetta to logon, the b-ball game will probably not materialize because Mr. Loya is most likely not going to show up. He probably does not want to suffer another demoralizing loss but maybe you can convince him to come. Also, Joe, weren't you another one of Mrs. Geary's chosen "student of the week"?

Adriana: so what was Chavira's reason for not logging on? He's another one that has been dodging this website. I'll see if I can go meet with him. And by the way, I'll let that last doughnut comment slide this one time only...

Chris, we felt the shake!! It was not that bad but it always makes you think I guess. Thanks for caring and we are allright!

Andrew: LOL, I will plead the fifth on the "hot seat". I do believe Rick Velasco had that record though. I dont know about Mario not wanting to play but it would still be good to see y'all play. Mario, you 'gonna let the trash talk keep going?

07/30/08 12:47 PM #804

Andrew Imai

Hey Joe,

Glad to hear that you are okay. By pleading the 5th, you confirmed that my memory was correct. As for Mario letting the trash talking continue, there is not really much he can say or do because he cannot dispute the truth...

07/30/08 01:01 PM #805

Jose Santos

LOL, please allow me to instigate...Mario, ALLI ESTA!!!

07/30/08 01:09 PM #806

Rik Avalos

Melissa,

we'll miss you! Hope you can make a show sometime in the future!

Joe,

was that your first shake? Being in SF, I have only felt one big one. They're a trip. I was at my computer and suddenly the whole desk was moving back and forth. I thought I was having a LSD relapse! J/K

Andrew,

you crack me up! Thanks for your El Paso local colloquialisms! I appreciate it. :) It may save my life one day and make me a better orderer at Chico's.

By the way, has anyone actually found a spouse or partner, who actually likes Chico's? I love it, but every girl I have brought back to El Paso has looked at the food and said... "No thanks! I'll stick to the fries and a Coke if we have to eat here."

07/30/08 01:23 PM #807

Jose Santos

Rik, I have come to the conclussion that you need to grow up in El Paso to appreciate Chicos!! I totally agree with you about that. This is like my third quake. They tend to be subtle. Japan...now that is a different story, you feel those suckers over there.

07/30/08 01:53 PM #808

Rik Avalos

I should have clarified... those with mates from El Paso do not count! LOL

Joe, Mario, and Bart (Sir Charles):

Well, I went to Wheaties' parents home and got some contact info from his mother who gave me his cell number. Lo and behold, I got in touch with him and we spoke for quite a while; man, the guy has not lost a step with his wise cracks and had me laughing non-stop the whole time. Anyway, he said he knew about the reunion and was planning on attending. He seemed to have a recollection similar to Mario's regarding the b-ball games and when I refreshed his memory, he just laughed. I told him there was only one way to find out...so Mr. Loya, I did my part in locating him now it is up to you to show up. I told him that you were possibly not going to make it and I cannot repeat what he said about you in regards to that. So the ball is in your court...like Joe said, "alli esta"....

Andrew, Since you are local what is your choice for next weekends gathering, lunch or dinner? restaurant or peter piper pizza (so the kids can come)?

Kid, do you know how to contact Ronda and Bobby? did you go with us when they took us up to the lake? Wanted to let you know that Pete (my chicle in school) is married and in the Navy, we still talk and he mentions all the fun we use to have.

Adriana, what do you choose? Have you talked to Twana lately?

07/30/08 04:54 PM #812

Jose Santos

Kid, I wish I could get a hold of those two! Glad to hear about Pete. Did he join straight out of Burges??

07/30/08 05:15 PM #813

Christine Seelig

Kid, no he went to Sul Ross with me one year after he graduated and then came back to El Paso and sign to go in. We went to visit him when he was in San Diego and spent the weekend with him and me, mom and Amber (neice) went to Sea World and the Zoo. Wish I could find them as well.

Andrew Imai

Hey Chris,

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend any gathering next weekend because I will be out of town from the 7th thru 13th. However, I thought Carlos and Mickeys might be a good choice because of its central location, the food and drinks, live music on the weekends, and it has a good atmosphere. If it is going to be a gathering where the kiddos are included, yeah, I would suggest the Peter Piper Pizza thing. Maybe Mike Grijalva still has some of his old connections and could hook you up (j/k)...

07/30/08 06:21 PM #815

Mike Grijalva

Uuumm..Andrew, I'd stay away from dropping my name in that joint, you might get tossed out. I burned that bridge good.
Oh, and stay out of the ball crawl. Trust me.

07/30/08 06:49 PM #816

Rik Avalos

Geez! No ball crawl? Ahhh man!

Chris,
The Carlos and Mickey's idea sounds good to me. Let me know if it materializes.

Andrew,
Ray said he would log on. I gave him my email so that I could forward him the link to the reunion but don't know why he wouldn't do it. Sorry for the donut comment, I had to. Hey, I know the things law enforcement folk do to kill time..........no shame in it. I picked up a mean game of gin rummy after those long night shifts at the BP check points.

Let me know and or call me all my information is posted on my profile.....

As far as dinner goes I only have about 3 people that have voted, I've got 2 for Carlos and MIckeys and one for PPP (Peter Piper Pizza), anyone else interested?
