Elizabeth Abilez Abilez

I hated Burges when I arrived in 1985/86. The only thing that changed my attitude was Melissa Mendez and Becky Zambrano. Both are STILL GORGEOUS! We got to see each other this past Christmas. Then of course, there was Mrs. Lashus who by the way had my beautiful name as well. OH! And Ms. Monroe who is now the journalist teacher at Burges. My son Herbie took her class. And of course they were able to keep Burges' rep as the best yearbook. But, I still have my ties to Austin High School:)

I have 4 fabulous kids. I am getting certified to teach. I worked in Americorps for two terms. That was fun!!! Life is still great. I am blessed with a tremendous family.
