John Swisher

After Graduation, I went To EPCC for a short time. In 1990 I moved to the Houston area, and went to work offshore and finally went to work in the Pertro-Chemical industry for almost 18 years. I worked my way up the ranks, all the way up to upper supervision.I did this and went back to college part time in a small town of Lake Jackson TX. I enjoyed working in this field, and the experience that I recived. With this job I was able to do a lot of traveling and work up and down the Gulf cost. Unfortunately in late 2006 I suffed a real bad accident, which brought me back here to El Paso in 2007, at which time I went back to school at EPCC and plan to graduate From EPCC and Texas Tech with degrees in Drafting & Design and Architecture.

The story That I will never forget, is when a number of football players had a party at Steve Kasner's house. A number of us had a lot to drink, and had fun with an underclassman. We got the poor guy so druck that forgot to let his mother know that he was not comming home. The next morning I woke up to someone knocking on Steves front door. It was the guys mother, and boy was she PISSED. After they left, a short time later someone was banging on the door agian. When I answered the door Coach Shaw was standing there with only a few words to say"You boys want to play, now it's time to pay the Pipper." After the watched films Saturday morning, we ran and ran and ran until the sun was going down. to the very day When I talk to Coach Stewart he shows me the whistle that almost ended all of our party days. An that is putting it lightly.
