We're living in world, stars and dust
Between heaven 'n all that surrounds us
We're travellers here, spirits passing through
And the love we give, is all that will endure
Just like a rose after the rain
Something beautiful remains
Tears will leave no stains
Time will ease the pain
For every life that fades
Something beautiful remains

Some of us had the pleasure of seeing Rosemary at our class reunion in October, 2013. Many of us have happy high school memories that involve Rosemary. She was active in many school organizations and functions and touched the life of many classmates. She was a member of The National Honor Society, ROTC, Sigma Phi, and was a representative to Irvin in Orbit. Based on her friendly personality, her character and her activities and community service she was also selected to "Who's Who at Irvin High School." Rosemary will remain in the heart and mind of many Irvin Rocket schoolmates.

My favorite memory of beautiful Rosie happened after high school when we saw each other in the mall. She was absolutely elated because she had a baby daughter who was only a few months old. She surprised me by saying something I'd never heard anyone say before that moment--How much she truly loved being a mother and she loved having a daughter.

Although we didn't meet again until the class reunion last October, that memory and her smile has stayed with me and always will.

I am so saddened by the death of a very lovely person and my regret is that I did not get a chance to visit with her at the reunion.  Rosemary was a great ROTC sponsor and I'm sure she really enjoyed being a member of the drill team.  My thoughts and prayers are with Rosemary's family and wish them happy and longlasting memories of Rosemary.

Rosemary's smile and kindness are stamped in my memory. It was wonderful that her daughter brought her to the 2013 Reunion...another nice memory.

Everyone should adopt.  My two are adopted; I never think of them as being adopted.  The Good Lord gave them to me.  One, in 1962; the other, 1963; both at birth became mine.  That's why I became a teacher.  Went to Germany and the babies literally rained on us.  Greatesst thing that ever happened to me.  Everyone should adopt.  To me, adoptive parents are much more concerned and caring; just as with Rosemary.  I repeat:  Everyone should adopt.  Too many have children they hadn't planned for; those poor kids have to grow like weeds.  I know; I taught of 38 years and rooms full of children who were not wanted.  Soooo, "Everyone should adopt," if they love children, as I do.
