The Pasadena (Texas) News Citizen newspaper contacted me and ask that I become a "Contributing Columnist." That I did, 1995-2000.
School Story:

I became a teacher so that I might go to Germany to adopt my children. The babies literally rained on us in Kaiserslauern, Germany. BUT how I hated to leave Irvin High School.
David Cohen and I produced the first Senior Follies. There was a Can Can number. We had ten senior girls dressed in bright red Can Can dresses with matching bloomers. One girl forgot to change into to her Can Can bloomers. All ten lifted their skirts to reveal their bloomers. The whole auditorium burst into laughter. The principal and superintendent of schools were sitting on the front row and got a good view of her panties. That was one of the funniest things that ever happened to me. That girl stayed home all the next week.

Mary, I was a social Social Studies/English teacher, 1959-61. I loved that school and hated to leave, but went to Germany to adopt two wondeful new-born babies. David Cohen weas one of my best friends at Irvin. We produced the first Senior Follies, 1960. Loved that school,!!!
