Melissa Palm Tibbetts

After graduation, I attended Penn State McKeesport for a year studying elementary education. My dream was to join the Army though to study Russian. I joined the Army reserves in the summer of 1989 and left for Basic Training in November 1989. I attended the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA for a year and studied the Russian Language. My MOS is 98G. There is met my husband Jeff Tibbetts. We married in July 1992. I continued with my college education studying at CCAC and George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. I continued serving in the Army Reserves and MD National Guard for 7 years. My true passion in life became my family. Together we have four beautiful girls who make our lives so happy. Our oldest daughter leaves for college this fall. Abigail will be studying Biochemistry at Virginia Tech. I enjoy journaling, crafts of all sorts, slideshow creations, home decorating and watching my girls excel in any activity they're involved in. I have been active in Girl Scout leadership, classroom volunteering, church activities and other various organizations. Life has treated me very well and I will be forever grateful.
