Hello to All!
After Glenville State College, taught one year in Weston, WV (first grade). Moved with first husband to Warwood, WV, three miles above Wheeling. Taught first grade there 1/2 year. Another move to Martinsburg, WV and taught Reading (Intervention) 1/2 year. Continued there the next year with first graders. Then moved to LaVale, MD and then to Ridgeley, WV, same area, while husband pursued a career with Casualty and Property Insurance. Taught first/second grades combined for one year in MD, and three more years of first grade.
Then came a pause in teaching to raise two sons. When they were old enough for Kindergarten, I chose to be a substitute teacher (and return to Frostburg State College in MD to work on Master's). From Ridgeley, moved to Oakland, MD, then back to LaVale. Have remained here at the current residence for 36 years. Along with family and friends, have visited various places within the U.S.
First marriage ended at 32 years - was on my own for 12 years, during which time I became an elementary school librarian. Met current husband during Library/Media meetings. We've been married ten years. (His first wife had passed away.) He has three daughters with families in our area. My two sons live in TX and CO with their families.
We are retired and I work with kids in my church! Between the two of us, we have ten grandchildren and love keeping up with their lives.
