I received the news of Judy's passing with enormous sadness. She died at home, suddenly, on April 9th. Her twenty year old twin sons right there with her, but likely a massive heart attack which has stricken extended family in years past took her life with no warning. Judy lived just houses away when we were growing up. We filled our days jump roping, flying kites, playing jacks, and doing all kinds of day to day stuff in the years when you just showed up outside, and took it from there. So many happy memories from our young years at Dutch Broadway all the way through Elmont Memorial. Her younger sister Ilene (Ilene Bach Amar) is on facebook some, so I have had the opportunity to stay in touch more often with her, Clearly, they both suceeded in carrying forth the traditions and love there parents instilled in them. Judy, a vibrant, loving Mom and sister, as well as generous, thoughtful friend to all who knew her was just the type of person this world is in such need of. Please keep her sons and Ilene (and family) in your thoughts and prayers.
