In Memory

Freya Yules

To our class about the passing of our classmate Freya Yules:

From:

 Patricia Tietjen-Bartlett
To all that knew Freya , she passed at 6:30 p.m. central time. She fought such a courageous battle. Much too young. She is now out of pain and found peace.
Everyone should find out when the Alzheimer's Foundation is having a walk in your area and do it in memory of Freya and any other people that you know that are battling this disease or any one that you know that has lost the battle with Alzheimer's

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Freya Yules. I had a crush on her from 1st grade and remember her suite personality and beautiful voice. In fact, I remember her singing with the Alden Terrace choir and sang this lovely harmony part to the melody of "America the Beautiful" that caused a lump in my throat, it was so beautiful. It was one of my first experiences of harmony in song that became the start of a life long love of music. Thank you Freya....you'll be missed.

Freya sat a seat or two behind me in homeroom, probably since Jr. High.  She had a sweet way about her and was truly beautiful.  The combination of her looks, personality and unusual name (I've never known another Freya) made her seem like someone from another time and place.  Unusual in a wonderful way.  I wish I had known her better.  I'm very sorry to hear about her passing and my thoughts will be with her friends and family.

I was so sad to hear about the passing of Freya. She was a beautiful and kind person inside and out. Freya's spirit of gentleness was what made Elmont a wonderful place to grew up in.
