Holly Rose Marich

After graduating from high school, I had no intentions of ever living in Ely, let alone back at the Valley View! After completing my B.A. in Elementary Education from UNLV, Bob and I decided Ely wasn't so bad after all; in fact, Ely has been very good to us, and a wonderful place to raise our three amazing children, Hannah, Bobby and Benjamin. I have continued my education, earning a Master's degree in teaching literacy, and a second Master's degree in teaching elementary school mathematics. I taught at McGill Elementary School for 8 years, completed my National Board Certification, and now work as a professional development regional coordinator for the state. In 2012, I was accepted into the Michigan State College of Education Ph.D. program in Educational Psychology and Educational Technology, graduating in May 2019. And, finally, about 12 years ago Bob and I chose to become part of my dad's business. We sold our house and moved to the Valley View. This was a scary decision but has been a great blessing in our life. So, that's what I've been up to for the past 25 years! I hope to read your stories, but more importantly, I hope to see you at our reunion!
