Three years in U. S. Army and am a Korean War veteran. UCLA for nearly 4 years with dual majors in Chemical and Physical Engineering. Had to quit college when 4 months before graduation I had to leave and go to work because my wife became very ill. Returned to college ast U. C. @ Northridge where I got my math degree and teaching credential.
Taught in private schools for several years then
for L. A. Unified for nearly 25 years. This included 8 years in inner city Jr. High WSchools then a teaching berth at an off campus magnet school
where all classes met at the L. A. Zoo. (It was and is called the "Zoo Magnet"). a Job any teacher would trade 30 years of his/her life span to have that job. Retired to Vermont in the year 2000 where I have a very nice home with a wonderful view
