...in some ways, music has come so far... in other ways, the songs remain the same....

In 1970, Bread - David Gates released "Make it With You"...a little sappy, but sweet....

In 2007, Queens of the Stone Age - Josh Homme released "Make it Wit Chu"  ...certainly not sappy or sweet...

The 40th reunion has past and it was good to unite, visit and remember.  This is for all that were there in person or in spirit.  Only ten short years to the 50th :)

Dale - I loved your video.  It really is a shame it wouldn't run at the reunion.  It would have made a great addition!  It brought tears to my eyes - lots of memories.  It was great seeing you.  Thanks for the support and help you gave us!

Tobi

To everyone who organized our reunion -

You guys did such an amazing job.  You could tell many, many hours went into the organization, from getting everyone there, to getting the venue, to organizing the shows and the trivia bowl and the raffles.  it was just so much fun.  Thanks for all your hard work.  I had a blast.

Natalie

PS - nice job on the video Dale.  Sorry not everyone got to see it at the event

Yes, swell video. All of us (424 in our class?). Very cool, Dale

But not so fast on the white scarf headband, Matey. That was no ordinary scarf. It was one of the custom made Pirate scarves used by one of the lovely wenches in the "You Gotta Have Heart" number.

I, your noble servant, was wearing it as a talisman to proclaim my undying loyalty to our Pirettes. So please man, a little respect.

However! I did indeed receive the far out tyedyed custom job that you sent me. I must now find other occasions to wear the poncho since I can groovily accessorize it now!

Peace and thanks man,
Dan

Dress code 1970 - In May of 1970, I was suspended one week before graduation because my hair touched my collar. I was threatened by administrators that I would not graduate and would not receive my diploma unless I got a haircut. I protested to the school board and they did not even know what the dress code was, but they backed the principal and vice principal. My senior picture was omitted from the 1970 yearbook because my hair touched my collar. In September of 1970 the dress code was abolished. Ridiculous!

I am proud to say I got my diploma but I did NOT get my hair cut. I used Dippity Doo and tiny permanent rollers to bind my hair up above my collar to get reinstated. I did this every day for five days. On senior awards day, I washed out the Dippity Doo and let my freak flag fly. I vaguely remember receiving the Dippity Doo award while others were receiving their scholarships and such. Any one else remember that? It might have been a daydream...
