I am very sorry to hear of Tom's death and send my condolences to his family and friends.   "Cat" and I had great fun playing basketball together - he had a magical two-handed setshot.   We got together at one of our reunions and I learned that he and his wife Rita, living in East Brunswick, were great supporters of Rutgers (my school) athletic  teams.  I want to thank the reunion committees and this website  for the opportunities to "fondly" reminisce about our school days and other good friendships.      John

Very sad to read of the passing of Tommy McCaffery. We were classmates from the time we entered kindergarten at Cleveland School and played ball together thru the  years.  Tom Cat was liked by everyone and I send my condolances to his family.  Bob Kaplan

Sorry I'm so late, but Tom was a friend from early grade school.  We played basketball in his driveway with the hoop set up over the garage until dark almost every night.  We didn't "hang" too much in High School, but he was a great guy and solid with the "hoops".  Bob Goodman
