After high school, I went to SUU for a year and then went up to Utah State in Logan. After graduating from there I went out to Bowling Green, Ohio, to work on a masters degree in sociology. While I was there I met an Ohio State law school student named Michael Monday with whom I loved to play racquetball and hang out. Nearly two years later, we were married. I finished all my course work just before we got married, and then when we got married, I moved down to Columbus, Ohio, with him while he finished his third year of law school, and I worked on my master's thesis and taught at a high school. From there, we moved to Bryan, Texas, where Michael got his MBA, and I taught 7th grade language arts (now that was an adventure!). At the end of our time there, we had our first little boy named Alden and our lives changed forever (there is nothing in the world like being a mom for me--I LOVE it). From there we moved to St. George and spent two years there. I taught an English class at Dixie College for two semesters. Toward the end of our time in St. George, we had our second son, Thobe (pronounced Toby). From there, we moved to Dayton, Ohio, then to Las Vegas, and we even got to spend a few short months in Enterprise, where we had our third son, Hyrum. Shortly after his birth we moved back to Ohio, where Michael works as an in-house attorney (which is so much better than working for a law firm by the way) and I get to be a stay at home mom and teach an on-line sociology course for fun.
Needless to say, I have lived in a lot of places since I graduated. It really makes me appreciate all that I have been blessed with. I'm really grateful that I was able to grow up in Enterprise and often wish that my kids had the same opportunity. I am really happy here and am also thankful for all our experiences that have got me where I am now.
