Anyone have some memories that they would like to share?
I think the wackiest memory of a teacher I have is when Steiner was pretending to be a dog. Now that I look back on that experience, I am fairly certain that guy was smokin' something. He was a good teacher, but man, I'd give him the grand prize for "odd" curricula.
Just read Taith's Steiner tidbit - I am laughing my butt off right now and I am at work!!! Gather in a circle, turn off the lights, close your eyes and "become a wolf".
How about all the gross dudes who used to spit snuff on the Seneca carpet? NASTY!
What about the time the people were petitioning to get #75 Bart Miller back on the football team?
Joeli, Did you and I have Home Ec with Chris Luden? That was a fun class too. He kept telling Mrs. Newsham everything is "woman's work"/etc. You can just imagine. I had so many classes with Chris Luden and he provided great entertainment in class.
Kim M - how about in Pavkov's class - when our hot air balloon caught on fire while in flight. That dude was the best teacher at Seneca I think.
Being late to class because we would watch fights in action. So hard not to watch :)
Traci-I had home ec with Mrs. Norton in 8th grade and I remember somebody putting bubblegum in the microwave-ruining it.
Taith-I remember on our senior trip I was so worried, because we were in line for a roller coaster and you said "I wonder what would happen if I put a penny on the track, do you think that the roller coaster will come off track?"--I know that I didn't enjoy that ride, because I was so worried that you had placed a penny on the track.
I remember Adam Johnson and I always getting moved to the back of the room in Mrs. Fielding's class, for talking to Erin Sterrett. Only, Erin was the one who would start talking and we would get in trouble. I think Adam also would tell Mrs. Fielding that she was a Dictator.
I remember Taith getting in just about every group picture he could senior year. I think he was even in the National Honor's Society pic. And, the National Anthem singers pic. Hilarious, Taith!
Hey whoever is putting the senior pictures in with our profiles I think it's great. But..... someone confused Michelle Hall and Michelle Herman oops!!! Michelle Hall's picture is up on Michelle Herman's profile.
Hey Taith, remember on Halloween when you dressed up in a shower cap and a towel? I can't believe the teachers allowed that. We were all worried that maybe there wasn't anything under that towel. Ha ha ha!!!
Mel Vogt was supposed to join me. Initially, I had no underwear on then when Mel chickened out, I put some boxers on. :)
In regards to Renee's comment about me joining in different group pics... :) I jumped in on the first one by accident and no one said anything. So, I figured that was easy so I went to others. The only time people said anything was AFTER the picture had already been taken.
I still can't get Mrs. Fielding's tag-line outta my head "On task, on task!"
I also remember the worst math teacher I ever had: Mr. Travis. The guy would write the entire process to the quadratic formula down on TWO chalkboards and then ask "Does anyone have any questions?" All I could think to myself is: "No MR FULL OF YOURSELF. I don't care to see the explanation again. The first time was awful enough for everyone. If I ask a question, I think the rest of the class will beat me with bars of soap wrapped in towels in the locker room and you'll still give me a 'C'. It's not worth the pain, brother".
I do remember the famous Taith Halloween costume! It doesn't seem like it was that long ago. God we are SO old!! LOL. Can't wait to see everyone at the reunion! I miss running into familiar faces in my hometown.
Robert Ludwig and I were just remembering typing class with Mrs. O'Connell the other day. "Semi, semi, semi. Type, type, type..." I loved that class! Please share your memorable Mrs. O'Connell sayings.
