There are so many times in life that I sure wish I could go back to those simple times. How much I hated being on a farm 7 miles away in my teens and then, how many times I've wished I was back there! But, I've lived and learned and have no regrets. Ups & downs have happened but that's what life is about. I'm at a good place in life now. Children are grown and I can spoil my "little girl" (granddaughter) now and have "replaced" kids around the house with a mini doxie Mickey who is spoiled so badly! Have so much to be thankful for. And life hasn't been all that bad. I've always kept in touch with JoEtta and need to get together for another visit one of these days. I do miss the snow but was lucky enough to have some last time we visited in 1998. I was lucky enough to remarry in 1998 to my best friend Terry and we have truly enjoyed life since. We love to fish, just take off for a week-end and drive and explore all the things that Florida has to offer that aren't tourist traps. We love good ole' rock and roll and the highlight was the Rolling Stones a few years ago. Paid a price to be up close but it was worth it! We also go to see The Eagles each time they come. That's a must! We survived a few hurricanes in 2005 but it was a good learning experience as to what you take for granted! I ended up driving a school bus in 91' to get in the school system and just ended up staying there. It's almost a fulltime job and gave me much more time with the kids when they were still in school. I enjoy it and think of Rosemary and her husband who used to drive my bus from Goodfield to Eureka. All those wintery days when we'd have to stop and he'd put the chains on! Now we have digital cameras with hard drives, seatbelts, air conditioning, am/fm radio and noone sits on the steps if they get in trouble like I did once!haha! Working with kids help keep you young too! I enjoy it. Terry is a journeyman plumber in new construction and a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Union #630 out of West Palm Beach. We have been blessed as he has work for another 2 years when so many are on a waiting list for jobs. Other than that, it would be nice to win the lottery but all in all, life is good. Our dream now is to retire and hit the road! We were fortunate to get 10 wooded acres in North Florida near the Suwannee River and we keep a camper there and hope to make that home some time in the future. I'm hoping to make the reunion this time!
