Wandering, Military, Lotsa School but for the last 9 years family has been the center. Now working as an engineer in the oil fields of the Midwest. Since high school, I've lived all over the country and changed careers several times.
For example: A couple of years back I left a PhD program at Vanderbilt because single parenting and Biophysics proved a little more than I wanted to handle. At least, that's the surface reason that most people get when I'm asked. To be a little more thorough in answering, they had nothing to offer me there. Current biomedical research is entirely geared toward pharmaceuticals and obedience to our great false prophet, profit. And yet I now work in the oil industry! Life has been full of unexpected twists and turns; lately, I've been spending my time trying to get into the driver's seat. Anyway, just trying to paint a quick picture here.
I doubt that I'll be able to make the reunion because of the timing. I will be in Augusta in May for my little sister's wedding. (Posted Mar 15, 2009)
