This is so much fun!!! I have to come here at least once a day to see who has updated their profile. I hope most of the people from our class will get wind of this. It's so nice to find out what everybody is up to. I am finding out that a lot of our class and class of 1988 is on facebook. So if you don't have an account get one! Vaniece

I do hope that everyone who is registered to vote has done so already or is in the process of doing so. If you don't or didn't vote shame on you!

Smoochesssss,

Tanya!

What are the chances of a summer reunion instead of the traditional Fall reunion? I'm sure it would make it easier on those still not in the Evanston, Chicago land area, especially once the '09-'10 school year starts, making it harder for those with kids in school.

Submitted by Erich (McDaniel) Muhammad: Class of ’89, I pray this message finds everyone in the best of health and spirits. I have been contacted and in communication with the producers of High School Reunion - http://www.tvland.com/prime/shows/highschoolreunion/index.jhtml. They are interested in casting members of our class for an upcoming show. Who wouldn’t? After all, we do have the best, most diversified, strongest, memory filled, academically superior, most beautiful, athletically dominant, funniest, well rounded, unforgettable high school class of all time, in my humble opinion. We capped of the ‘80’s with a star of gold. Not the gold painted, plastic dookie chains Abdin Carrillo, Michael Barner and our beloved reunion coordinator Terrence Doby used to wear. No, we are all stars still shooting and driving on our own unique course. WE NEED HUGE PARTICIPATION AND INTEREST TO MAKE THIS SHOW A REALITY! If you are interested and have the freedom to experience a two week, all expenses paid trip to Hawaii to share good times with your fellow classmates please visit the shows casting site - www.kasstinginc.com. Click the bottom “Now Casting” tab, select “Click to Apply” for High School Reunion and follow application instructions. The photos in step #2 are optional at the moment. If you don’t have good pics don’t worry about that at this stage. We have to send them a full yearbook anyway. Thank you all! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me - erichmuhammad@gmail.com or send me a note on our E.T.H.S. reunion site. Respectfully, Erich (McDaniel) Muhammad

12/09/2008: (Sorry, this one is long)

It's Time.

We need accuarate numbers of those intending to attend the reunion and their guests. Those of you who have not yet completed the "Reunion Registration Form " located under the "20 Year Reunion" link on the navigation bar to the left of this page but intend to attend the reunion, please do so at your absolute earliest opportunity. If you have filled out the form but did not enter a number of persons attending, please update your form to reflect the number of persons that will be attending the actual renuion with you. We need these numbers because we have been estimating the size of the space we'll need to rent. Having these numbers gives a better idea based on actual accounts from you of who'll be attending instead of our estimates.

There's a real possibility that everything can be held in Evanston as many of you have indicated you'd like. But, there are real space considerations that may move us out of Evanston for the Saturday night reunion itself. The Grand Ballroom at the Hotel Orrington downtown Evanston will hold about 270 people with a dance floor. Currently, we have 154 people indicating that they intend to attend the reunion. If each one of them brings a guest, we're at 308 and it doesn't appear as though we've reached half of the class yet. If our numbers continue to grow, and I hope they do, every room in Evanston and most every room in Skokie will be out of contention, so we'll have to move further out.

I had two dates on-hold with the Hotel Orrington (http://www.hotelorrington.com) downtown Evanston, August 15 and August 22, 2009. August 22nd is the date I preferred, but I released it because they had a bride standing by ready to make a deposit on the room for the date. Therefore, in order for us not to lose the dates on anymore desirable spaces, I'll need to make a deposit on the space. So, for those of you so far who have indicated that you are coming to the reunion, please send a non-refundable $50 deposit per attendee via personal check, cashiers check or money order made payable to ETHS Class of 1989 Reunion to Terrence Doby, Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge Ave, H102, Evanston, IL 60204. These early deposits are necessary to acquire the space we need to hold our reunion.

If you have any questions, please use the "Contact Us" link on this site to submit them.

Thanks.

From Colin Smith:

Hello All,

Unfortunately I will not be able to make the reunion. I have a new assignment as the Defense Attaché at the embassy in Riga, Latvia. I report to Riga in July, and there will not be an opportunity to turn around and come back for the reunion. If anyone finds themselves in the Baltics, look me up. I'll be easy to find at the embassy. Just ask for LtCol Smith. I hope you all have a great time. Wish I could be there.

Semper Fi!

Terrence -

I got together with a bunch of high school friends last week; we are all looking forward to the reunion.

A big "thanks" to you for putting, what will be, a great weekend together. This is a huge effort to organize and coordinate; thank you for making it happen. I look forward to thanking you in person next month.

Scott XB; I remeber you. We use to go to Medusa to dance/party because that nite club would let 17yr olds in. You finish school?
