May 1996......"Beth Toby Grossman, 25, a former Evanston resident who was doing graduate work in Texas, died of a brain hemorrhage Monday at a Houston hospital.
Miss Grossman was taking courses in public health at the University of Texas in Houston and doing volunteer work.
For more than a year, she was with Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA). She also was on the volunteer board of Planned Parenthood and gave her time to Stone Soup, a soup kitchen for AIDS patients. She was awarded a fellowship for an asthma project..."from Chicago Sun-Times
