“What have you been up to since 1988?” I’m not sure how to summarize 20 years... Let's see: I attended IU, living with fellow MD grads, Andy Folz, Brian Goebel, & Keith Rheinlander (because I didn't get enough of them in 4 years at MD). Despite these influences, I managed to graduate and later attend Notre Dame Law School. After graduating from ND in 1995, I moved to Cincinnati to join Deloitte & Touche accounting firm in its tax practice. Shortly after becoming gainfully employed, I almost felt like a responsible adult and ready to marry. Natalie (yes, the Natalie Maier with whom you graduated) was gracious enough to accept my offer. So we got married at St. P's on October 11, 1997, and I dragged her to Cincinnati. She joined Deloitte, as well, so we went from long-distance relationship to 24-7 literally overnight. From 2001-2003, Nat and I moved to Washington, DC. We had an unbelievable experience - work was tolerable; we hosted many visitors; we did a LOT of sightseeing and absorbing what our nation's capital has to offer; and, oh yeah, we had a son! Jude was born in 2002. When our assignment was finished in 2003, we moved back to Cincinnati. Then in 2005, after nearly 10 years at Deloitte, I took a job as International Tax Counsel at GE Aviation here in Cincinnati. And that's where I am today. Nat and I recently traveled to Italy to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and Jude just started kindergarten this week (August 24, 2008 - the day Nina harassed us about not having updated this).
