Andrea (Maynard) Billingsley
August 4, 1956 - October 31, 2025

Andrea (Maynard) Billingsley, 69, of Somersworth, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family after a 2 month courageous battle with cancer.
Andrea was born on August 4, 1956, in Beverly, Massachusetts, to George and Cora Maynard. She grew up in Rowley, Massachusetts, before moving to Exeter, New Hampshire, at the age of 15. She graduated from Exeter High School in 1975.
At the age of 18 she married and moved to Stratham to work the family farm and raise her three children. Over the years she held several jobs working in factories and retail. Andrea dedicated 28 years to volunteering with the Stratham Ladies Fire Auxiliary and gave generously of her time and talents through her church, local food pantries, and Toys for Tots. A lifelong blood and plasma donor and in her time of sickness she needed it the most. Andrea embodied kindness, compassion, and service — values that touched everyone who knew her.
If anyone needed anything they always called G-Ma. She was the first one to show up with a cake, a sewing needle, a band aide, games, prizes or everything to throw a party. She never forgot anyone’s birthday or anniversary. Her kids and grand kids were always her main focus and the light of her life.
An avid crafter and talented seamstress, Andrea could often be found at her sewing machine — her family joked that sparks would fly from it. She loved attending craft fairs, and creating new treasures. She loved shopping, going out for onion rings and ice cream.
Earlier this year, Andrea was diagnosed with two cancers. True to her Leo spirit, she faced them with courage and determination. Just as she was about to began treatment she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Despite her strength and will to fight, her body could not overcome the illness, and she chose to spend her remaining time at home, surrounded by her loved ones and 17 yr old dog.
Andrea is survived by her brother George Maynard Jr of Exeter and sister Tammy Maynard of Florida. Her husband of 10 years, Barnaby Billingsley; her three children, Sarah Kostandin of Exeter, Verne Rawson IV of Exeter, and Becky Rawson of Rochester. Son- in-laws Ara Kostandin of Exeter, and Omar Lopez of Rochester. Three cherished granddaughters, Hannah, Olivia, and Corana.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the American Red Cross or the American Cancer Society in Andrea’s memory — honoring her lifelong legacy of generosity and compassion.
