Good Morning from F-Town....It is another gloomy day yet today...We haven't seen sunshine here for awhile so we are way past due...It is to get in the 40's today and we have strong winds...So pretty much a miserable day AGAIN!!!!! It sounds as though we will have some nice weather for the Thanksgiving holiday and through the weekend...That will be great for the travelers....:0)

Just trying to get some things organized for the rest of the week...Need to do the grocery shopping today and get that over with...UGH...Not one of my favorite jobs, but I do it anyway....

Tyler will be home today later, and will be here throughout the weekend...I would imagine some of his buddies will be hanging out here too...It will be nice to have people to fill up this house a bit...So the grocery bill is always a bit higher during these times..LOL...:0)

Lisa...Will not be joining us for Thanks giving this year...:0( She has decided that driving for 5 hours to eat Turkey and be here for 3 hours just sounded like a headache....We told her we could come out to see her, but she wouldn't have that...(changing what we have done for so many years)...They still have harvest going on at Holdrege, so she has been and still is very busy at CPI in Funk....I guess as the kids get older we have to let them decide what is best for them and not lead them around and tell them what they have to do...She has had a couple invitations to peoples houses, so she won't have to be alone with a Turkey T.V. dinner....LOL

Big Jer and I will be going to my parents for Thanksgiving dinner....Oh I can't wait for the good food...My Mom still makes homemade pies with the crusts made out of lard....I'm sure many of you have had this crust before, but it just melts in your mouth...She usually bakes about 10 or more pies and all different kinds...Never two alike....Can you just taste it?????

It would be interesting to hear what everyone is doing for the Thanksgiving holidays if anyone has the time to post on here....

Wishing you all a wonderful day....Take Care

You can't have everything....Where would you put it??????

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

What a great day it was yesterday....The weather was beautiful and for good traveling....I enjoyed my time with family yesterday...And of course the food was out of this world...Too much of course, but each and every bit was so scrumptious....YUMMY...Why is it the food always tastes so much better on Thanksgiving day????

Lisa ended up calling at 7 on Wednesday night and said she was going to head out and come home...So she left on her 2 1/2 trek and got here around 9:30....It absolutely completed my Thanksgiving, to have both my kids home with us....She left about 5 last night as she had to work the rest of the week yet....They are still harvesting in the Holdrege NE. area....She thought it might be going for another 2-3 weeks....Anyway she made our day!!!!

Hope you all had a great day yesterday....Today is another great day....Nebraska football...GO BIG RED!!!!!!

Well, I guess I had best get some laundry going and do some household duties around here....Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend....Kick the legs up and just relax....Take Care.....

A big day of Christmas shopping for me and even a bigger day of combining for the guys....they are still out there tonight...I don't know when they will come in!

Cindy...what a wonderful surprise that Lisa came home for Thanksgiving! Those are the best surprises!

Good Morning Classmates....It is a bright and sun shining day here in F-Town...There is frost on my deck, but with the great sunshine it is begining to melt already....The temps today are suppose to be in the 50's....

Last night I hit a wall and was dead tired....These holidays can get you down....I guess it must be the age...Didn't seem to use to bother me...LOL...Oh I still enjoy it, but late night hours and early morning rises just don't mix after a fashion....

Today, Tyler is playing in the Alumni Basketball Tournament that they have every year after Thanksgiving...I think they have 8 years that are playing and I think some of the teams have more that one year put together....I didn't see the class of 1978...What is up with that???? The guys seem to have a lot of fun, but come to realize that not many of them are in shape....Even my son that just graduated 2 years ago....What college does to you....YIKES>...

Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend....Wishing you some relaxation for the next round of holidays....Hope you are all getting those leftovers ate up....Have a great weekend....

Oh, by the way HOW ABOUT THOSE HUSKERS??????GO BIG RED!!!!!

Memories are perhaps the best gifts of all........

Morning...I had a great Thanksgiving! I made turkey with all the trimmings on Thursday night...with Mom, Dad, Nick, Ginger, Lily , Levi, and Dave. Then on Friday and Saturday, my Mom and I joined the other crazy people and shopped until we dropped in Kansas City! I think my Mom is nearly finished with her Christmas shopping...and I have a little more done.

Cindy, The Alumni Basketball Tourament sounds like so much fun! No players from the class of 78, what's up with that? Still remember the days of playing basketball/or watching, while we ate our sack lunch during the lunch hour....boy was that a hoot! We must of did that only during the winter months...otherwise, we were out on the south wall.

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning classmates....The next couple of days are suppose to be really nice and then talk of cooling down...UGH...I guess we can expect that this time of the year....

The Thanksgiving weekend was just gorgeous out...Couldn't of asked for any better weather...I had a great time Thanksgiving day with my family and other relatives....It is always fun to get together with Aunts, Uncles, and cousins....The food was terrific as usual, but I sick of cooking, dishes, and laundry....Seems I have been doing a lot of that the last several days...Which I know I always do these things, but I go a bit overboard when my babies are home...Like make them their favorite meals etc...Otherwise I spoil them a little bit more....Thats what Moms are for, right????

We did go to the alumni tournament Saturday and watch Tyler and a few classmates...Well, I can tell you that college has hurt them quite a bit....They are definately not in shape...LOL...They only had one extra kid to sub in for them so their rest periods were short...Each class plays 3 games and needless to say, they are totally worn out and sore when all is said and done....LOL...The winning team was the oldest kids, so maybe they have slowed down in life and doing some working out at the gym....All in all they have a lot of fun with it....One thing that doesn't change....Those bleachers still give a person BAD bleacher butt....OMG...

I had a pleasant surprise yesterday....As I had just sit down from doing the last of Tylers laundry the doorbell rang and low and behold, standing at the door was Little Buddy and his lovely wife Kristie....They only stayed for a very short time, but I truly enjoyed having them stop my....They made my day!!!! Thank you Matt and Kristie....

Sweet Pea...I need to get going on this shopping again this week or you are going to beat me....I wish I could close my eyes and it would be done and the presents wrapped etc....That would be so nice....I'm glad you had a great time with you family for Thanksgiving...And some special bonding time with your Mom...What better way to bond with Mom then to go shopping together...Good Times....Are you finished harvesting yet??? Hope that is getting close to being done for you....Take Care...Love and Miss you....HUGSSSS

Hope all of you could still fit in your clothes after all the eating over the last few days...LOL....Have a great week....

Act as if what you do makes a difference....IT DOES....

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Beautiful Day Out!! We need to enjoy these days because there won't be many left before winter sets in!

Cindy....harvest? Yes....we are STILL working on it....I guess this is what we get when we don't own a combine! I think Nick said we have around 200 acres of beans to go and 90 of corn! It has been the longest drawn out harvest in history! Brent did say, some of the beans had green leaves at the bottom of the stem....so we are fortunate, the beans have not started to drop yet!! WHEW!! The wet weather has about driven my crew nuts this year....but the yields are turning in fanastic! Best ever!

12/02/09 09:15 AM #6159

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning Mates....Well the weather has changed on us...Yesterday was a beautiful day with temps in the 50's....Today it is going to be in the 30's....BRRRRRR...The wind is blowing pretty good too, so that even adds to the coldness....Oh how I love winter...LOL...Not really...

I guess with the weather turning colder, it gets us in the Christmas spirit...Which I am about done done with the shopping...Just a few gifts to buy in Fairbury and at one store in Lincoln...But I was wondering is there anybody that likes to wrap....Not one of my favorite jobs and I could probably use some help...Any volunteers????? Probably should get the tree and decorations out too....Oh it is a busy time of the year...

Big Jer is starting to work on some income taxes also...Which makes for a grumpy mood around here...Tax appointment next week already and he has got a lot to get together yet....I think I need to take him on a vacation...But by the time we would get things done up here to go somewhere it is time to put the machinery to work again....It is a never ending story around here...Life is great!!!!!!

Well, I guess I had best get some cleaning done around here today before the State comes in and closes up our house...Yes, it is that dirty....Then maybe I will get a few presents wrapped....Don't hold back if you want to help out....Come one, come all....

Wishing you all a great day....Take CAre

If today was perfect there would be no need for tomorrow.....

12/03/09 09:06 AM #6160

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Morning Classmates....Oh baby it is cold outside!!!!! We just got way to spoiled here for awhile and now we are going to have to suffer....The wind is still blowing so even though we have sunshine it doesn't help much with heating it up around here....

Yesterday, my plan was to do some cleaning and wrapping...Neither one got done....I just have to many irons in the fire right now and nothing seems to be going right for me...So I will go back and try to get some cleaning done and some presents wrapped today...See how it goes for me this time...

So I see not to many are talking to me again here lately...Come on people are you in hibernation....Please talk to me so I don't feel like I'm all alone and CRAZY!!!!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful day....If it is cold where you're at...Stay warm.....

Good Morning Classmates, It's a beautiful 3 degrees out with clear skies and sunshine, bet you wish you had the same.... Sorry that I haven't been on lately, internet was down for 1 whole day and if work didn't get in the way it would help, but of course thats what makes the world go around....

Ty still has wrestling for a couple more weeks and BB games start for Morgan tonite, so it's just a switch from one to another...

Christmas shopping it's really not my thing but I go along with it... I'm more old fashion, I wish people could just get together and BS with alittle food and drink... I not into trading one juke gift for another, I'd rather spend the time and money on/with some really good friends and family... OK I've got my Schrooge attitude out of my system for today...

Well stay warm guys, sounds like it might be cool for a couple days...

12/03/09 08:18 PM #6162

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Cindy, I agree....the wrapping, YUCK! I think we need to have a BIG wrapping party, always more fun to do a project with a group!! I'm getting closer to having my shopping done too. It would be nice to be done to actually enjoy the holiday! As I'm writing this message Lily has song Jingling Bells 50.... or maybe 100 times! The two grandkids have really helped get me in the Christmas spirit!

12/04/09 09:30 AM #6163

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.....Good Morning....It is a cold one out this morning....Lots of frost out there too...

Nothing going on here in F-Town...As usual....Just been trying to get the cleaning caught up again and going to do many loads of laundry today...So pretty much just another day here....LOL....

Thinking about making some Christmas candy...I need to try to find some new recipes, so if any of you have a favorite candy, let me know the recipe, I would like to try it out....

Hopefully this weekend I will get some wrapping done and the tree up and Christmas decorations out....That is my goal, but like everyday I have here, something always gets in the way...Always have to stop and tend to something else..

KEILWITZ...Nice to see you on here...Sounds like you are keeping busy with your job and with all the kids activities....Keeps you young doesn't it???? Or does it wear you out??? LOL....I think you are like many men, on the whole shopping thing...I have two of them here that hate shopping...I like your thought of getting together with family and friends and doing the BSing...But, I love to give to people, and so I have to buy gifts....Tyler, absolutely hates shopping, so what he does for his girlfriend is buys her Christmas, birthday, and Valentines prsents all at Christmastime, so then he has it all done....Her birthday is the 13th of February so he holds it all back and destibutes it when necessary....He even hates to shop for himself...I have to make him go buy his clothing....MEN!!!!!

Well you all have a wonderful weekend....Get in the Christmas spirit cuz it is coming right around the corner...Take Care

You've got to take the good with the bad, smile with the sad, love what you've got, and remember what you had...Always forgive , but never forget. Learn from mistakes, but never regret....

Well good afternoon, It's 30 degees out and sunny, it's been a cool one the last couple of mornings... According to the paper it got down to minus 6 yesterday, kinda takes the fun out of skinny dipping...

Just got back from Cabelas, yes Cindy I do some shopping... I can handle going to Cabelas, of course you know us men, we already have our mind mad up on what we need or want...

Morgan had a ball game last night, they hosted Chadron, it started out a little slow and they ended up winning... So, tonite we head to Scottsbluff to play them, plus another game in Scottsbluff tomorrow... They are having a 3 day tournment, so we won't know about tommorrow schedule until later...

Well need to run, sounds like colder weather again Sunday, I'll try and send some your way...

12/05/09 09:54 AM #6165

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning....It is still cold...BRRR....I want some heat out there..Is there anybody than can help me out????

KEILWITZ....You keep your cold weather to yourself...We don't want you to have to share with us...This is one time where you can get by without sharing...Trust me....Well of course men can shop, if they can go to the store they want, and especially if they are buying for themselves...They love buying for themselves...They do not like to take the time or energy to buy for anyone else...Big Jer always says I don't know what to buy....So this year the first time in 27 years I made him out a list of different things that I would like...He has no excuse now....I'm so smart....:0) So go out and buy your lovely wife something wonderful for Chrstmas...If you need any ideas, just let me know...;0)

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year...I don't really like the hustle and bustle of it all, but do enjoy being with family and friends....One thing I do enjoy, and that is gift giving....I love to sit and concentrate on one person and figure out unique gifts to give them....Sometimes, I get a bit frustrated, and it is usually a guy that I'm buying for...Men are the hardest...You can only buy so many hand tools, power tools, clothes, etc....I love the idea of giving gifts to show my appreciation for all people do for me during the year....I take this Christmas job seriously and from the heart...

The weekend is here, and so what are the plans???? Well I definately need to go to the grocery store this morning...Then I think I will do some wrapping....That is one of my least favortie jobs...Then tonight I know I will be watching the Huskers playing football...GO BIG RED!!!!! If you are watching the game, just to let you know you might want to be on the look out for Sarge...He is there rooting the SKERS on....

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend...Enjoy!!!!!

Still waiting for offers for Christmas wrapping....

If you have joy in your heart, it will be known by the look on your face....

Morning Classmates! I'm headed to warmer weather this week...sunny Phoenix! Hope everyone stays warm and drive safe!

12/07/09 09:04 AM #6167

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning classmatess.....It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....Yesterday, we got about and inch of snow...Temps are suppose to get up to 23 today, with some wind....Tonight and tomorrow we are to expect 10-12 inches...Yikes....I do not need this right now...I want warmth and sunshine to keep the mood in order...Don't want to be getting grumpy this time of the year...Santa is making a list and checking it twice, going to find who is naughty and nice....This weather may ruin me being nice....I was right at the top of the nice list till I found out all this was going to hit...LOL...Oh well, there is always next year....

The tree is finally up, the decorations out, but I'm still waiting for the offers for wrappers....I really need to get started on that...Which brings on the grumpiness in me....:0(

Another thing to throw in the fire of grumpiness....We have a tax appoinment on Thursday...Now, I can tell you right now, that can change a mood faster than anything...And we pay them to make us in a bad mood????? Don't make much sense does it??? I guess we do what we have to do, whether we like it or not....

Today, I need to stock up the pantry shelves with food in case I get snowed in...Do some laundry....I should bake some yummy recipe, but will wait to see how the rest of the day goes....and WRAP.....

Hope you all have a great beginning of your week...Hope you are all well....Have a great day!!!!!
