Been out cleaning snow this morning, get it done before I go to work in a couple of hours... Ty had wrestling in Mitchell (10 miles west of Scottsbluff) yesterday, lost the first two and won the last one.. It was nice to be home to catch it, Saturday will be their last one and then he's done for the year... Cindy G, You've got me in that giving mood, so I'll send you some cold and snow... 12/09/09 09:22 AM #6169     Cindy Georgi (Rosener) Good Morning all....We have been hit by a major snowstorm!!!!!! The wind chill today is -18 and the winds are blowing like crazy....I have a drift on my deck that is almost up to my waist....YIKES....Basically, Big Jer and I are snowed in...No way of us getting out of our driveway, or even on our road....Wouldn't do us a bit of good to scoop anything out right now, as it would all blow back in...Schools are closed all around us, in Lincoln and Omaha area, and out west in the Holdrege area...We definately have a winter wonderland around here.... The tree is decorated, the Christmas decorations are out, and the wrapping has been started....Hopefully will get some more wrapping done in the next few days, then it will be on to the Christmas cards....Never a dull moment around here no matter what the weather is....When am I going to get the Christmas candy and cookies made??? This is Big Jer and my set up....He is at a big table in our family room working on income taxes, and I am in the dining room wrapping...It is one hell of a mess in my house right now with things scattered all over, but who in the world is going to be out and coming to visit...Little Buddy, stay home, do not come and stand on my front porch...LOL...If you can get here, I would love to have you here, mess and all.... KEILWITZ....Man do you have a heart of gold sending me this beautiful weather....I will be sending you a gift certificate to scoop me out....Where are you when I need you???? Sounds like you are keeping busy with work and all the kids activities, and scooping snow....Keeps you young...LOL...Better start loading all snow removal supplies and get your butt down here...We need you desparately....:0) Hope you have a great rest of the week....No need for you to send any more of your lovely gifts, you went way overboard on sending the last one...Thank you for keeping me on the Christmas list..:0) Well I better get some things organized around here so I can get back to the wrapping....We are suppose to have a tax meeting tomorrow in Lincoln, so will have to get things around for that... 12/12/09 12:08 PM #6170     Cindy Georgi (Rosener) Good Morning classmates....Sorry I have not been on for a couple days...You see we had 15 inches of snow here and of course had to do the scooping out...We had a tax appointment (UGH) one day in Lincoln, and finished the shopping...I'm done...finished....I quit!!!!!! Now to finish up the wrapping, which I hope to do this weekend...Then on to the cards, candy making, cleaning, etc....Have you ever felt like a chicken with its head cut off???? That would be what I have been feeling like...To many things going on all the time....Throw in our anniversary and Lisa's birthday next week (a trip to Holdrege), and Tyler coming home for a month....I love it all, but it sure gets hectic....I have finally figured out that no matter how early I start to Christmas shop and think I'm ahead of the game, I never get it all done in a early fashion...Oh well, it will get done and that is all that counts... So enough about me...How is everyone elses life going???? You all must be busy cuz no one has been on since the last time I posted...YIKES.... It definately is a winter wonderland here in F-Town...Do any of you remember sledding at McNish park???? Oh those were the days...It was an all day event and would go home froze to the bone....I don't think we had ski pants and the such....Just some good old thermal underwear, that helped, but they sure weren't water proof...Then to get home to a nice warm house and good mug of hot cocoa......memories.... Well, I best get to wrapping....Wishing you all a stress free weekend..... I am not fully dressed until I adorn myself with a smile...:o)

You brought up the sledding at McNish. I remember ice skating at Crystal too, then going in to warm up in the old building next to the pond. Some of the guys gathered wood to have a fire, in the fireplace, inside the building. It was so cozy and warm in there. The building is no longer there, but I have some very treasured memories!!

12/14/09 09:10 AM #6172     Cindy Georgi (Rosener) Good Morning all....It is a gloomy day in F-Town today...About 10 degrees with some pretty good winds...BRRRRR....I hope all of you that live in those warm states are trully enjoying it...If you get tired of the sun and heat, just come to F-Town for a few hours and you will appreciate what you have...:0) Well the Fa La Laing is still going on here in the Rosener home...I would like to have it all done but I keep running into road blocks....Seems I'm having to drop my work and do something else way to often...Puts me behind and then Big Jer doesn't quite understand why I'm getting stressed out and a bit cranky....Tis the Season I guess...Oh I will get it done but I pretty much wanted to be done with it all by now...Never works, I don't care how hard I try...Maybe I need someone to come and organize me...Or to just help me out...LOL Didn't do anything this last weekend...Not a surprise...Nothing to do and to damn cold...Didn't feel like getting out in it....I think I will just hibernate for the winter.... Another thing I need help with that you may be able to help me out...I feel like we have ate and I have cooked everything there is to eat...Nothing sounds good, we eat the same things over and over....Ideas and recipes please....HELP!!!!!! Sorry haven't been on recently, Wed. & Thur. last week was stuck sitting in Ravenna, Ne. for 42 hours, due to the snow... Railroad was shut down due to weather, don't remember that happening years ago, they always seemed to try and keep something moving.... Anyway got home Fri. afternoon they off again Sat. for Ty's last wrestling match, he lost the first 2 rounds, so he was done for the day... Watched the lady Huskers in volleyball that night, them back to work about 6 am Sun... Cindy G, I talked to my brother George this weekend sounds like you guys got hit really good... I just wanted you to have a white Christmas!!! Well take care All....

Did Cindy accidently get wrapped in Christmas wrapping or did Jerry take her away on a cruise for their anniversary? Miss you! I hope I survive the next 4 days with my grandkids...I have almost 2 days down...got 4 to go! They sure are FULL of it!

12/19/09 09:40 AM #6177     Cindy Georgi (Rosener) Good Morning all....Sorry I have been ignoring you a bit, but have been busy with all the holiday stuff...I figured you would be pretty sick of hearing about the wrapping, cleaning, shopping, and candy making I have been doing....It is rather gloomy here today, which does not make a person want to do much, but I have so much to do yet....Always think I'm going to be organized, but it never works out that way...The temps the last few days haven't been to bad in the 30's and even was 40 on Thursday....and ample sunshine!!!!! The Holidays are arriving fast...A bit faster than I am wanting them to...But I promise I will get it all done...I have to.... We went to Holdrege on Thursday and spent a small amount of time with Lisa....Her birthday was on Wednesday, so we took out some gifts and went out for a great meal that night....It was great to see her again as usual and she will be coming home Christmas Eve and staying through Sunday...It will be great to have the kids here to fill up my nest...:0) Tyler was actually done on Tuesday and did come home and spent the night with us...Then went back up on Wednesday, since the girlfriend was still there...He also had to pick up a high school friend from the airport in Omaha on Thursday...So he came home yesterday and will be here on and off for almost a month...AWWWWW KEILWITZ...Thank you so much for the early Christmas present..(The big snow storm)....We trully enjoyed it and still are as we have huge drifts all over the place...You shouldn't have put so much thought into this gift and I will try to repay you sometime...(LOOK OUT)...Sounds like you are continually busy with work and the kids...Thats good keeps you out of trouble and your mind off of wishing things to send to people....Thanks so much for keeping the forum going....Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas!!!! Sweet Pea...Well sorry to say but NO on Big Jer taking me anywhere other than Holdrege...That will probably be the biggest vacation I get for a long while....I think he would love to wrap me up at this point and time....I'm starting to get a little bit grumpy and no one else seems to understand it or wants to help out....Your hands sound like they are full with the Grandbabies....Did Nick and Ginger go on a trip???? Well I see blue sky and sunshine today...Good day to get some extra things done around here...Trying to get caught up a bit, so hoping I will be caught up by tonight....Then I can start my week out by cleaning cleaning cleaning...Oh it desperately needs it sooooooo bad.... It sounds as though there is another big snow storm coming....Oh how I wish it could wait for people to get to their Christmas destination....Inclujding my daughter...It will be a big worry for me having her on the roads....Maybe it will miss us or won't be as bad as they are talking about...Sounds like it could be as bad as the last one...UGH...So I will pray for it not to get to bad so people can get where they need to go....:0) It has been a crazy weekend...I have done nothing exciting at all...Just work work work....I forgot what it was like having the kids friends around here...Tyler has some of his friends back already from college...They have been stopping by in and out of the house all weekend...It is great to see them all and visit with them but they are forgetting that I have things to get done...They want me to drop everything and talk talk talk .....So I do....Now I'm further behind....There will be more coming in this week too...YIKES...I hope I get everything done that needs to be....Sounds like I need another prayer on my side.... 12/21/09 09:19 AM #6181     Cindy Georgi (Rosener) Good morning all...A lot of hustle and bustle going on here in F-Town...Now talk of a big storm coming...UGH...So I may not get to have all of my family home for the holidays....Makes me so sad...:0( I finished the wrapping yesterday, or I thought I had, when I seemed to remember that I needed to get someone else a present....This is the season of giving, and I could just think of a million I should be giving to, for all that they have done for me, friendships, family,etc...But unfortunately, I can't afford to buy each and every special person in my life a gift..So I will just have to try to get together with these people and spend some time with them over time....Oh I wish I could get together with each and everyone of you classmates....I miss you all so much... After the holidays have passed we are going to have a pajama party on the forum....I will post it some morning on the forum...It would be nice to get a bunch of us if not all of us to join in for some good conversation....So keep watching for an update on the pajama party.... 12/22/09 09:26 AM #6182     Cindy Georgi (Rosener) Good morning all....It is a gloomy, hazy, kind of day here...Yesterday was a sun shiny pleasant day...How can things change so fast...It changes the mood, as well as the energy level that a person feels.... I went to my favorite place yesterday(Wal-Mart, my least favorite place to go)....It was crazy with people getting their shopping plus doing the grocery shopping before the storm hits...I was close to pulling my hair out by the time I got out of there...Maybe my stress level is a bit high, do you think???? So I have that done, so now to finish up the wrapping of a couple presents and to the grocery store today, I should be good to go...:0) Then on with the cleaning, and some cooking of some Christmas goodies.... So has anybody ever felt after the holidays it would be nice to have a long vacation??? Thats what I'm feeling, but I know it isn't going to happen...It is sure fun to think about it though...:0) Maybe someday... Hope you all have a great day, better be getting your ducks in a row for the holidays....Sorry, here I'm trying to organize all of you too...Now you know what Big Jer has to put up with...LOL...You know do what ever you feel like doing today and try to make the day stress free...Good Luck with that...Have a great one!!!! 12/23/09 08:44 AM #6184     Cindy Georgi (Rosener) Good Morning classmates....I haven't been out this morning yet, but we are getting rain and sleet at this time....It is getting slick and I pray the state road crews can keep up with this storm to give people safe travel....The temp is suppose to get up to around 30 today so hopefully it will not get real bad... Lisa called this morning and it had not started snowing out there yet, but she was a bit worried about the snow that was suppose to start in also....So she called into work and is heading out on these roads now....YIKES...Does she know what this does to parents...Don't think she will until she has kids traveling on bad roads herself... KEILWITZ...Is this another present from you???? Please you have given me enough already....What did I do to deserve all of this...Your gift giving can stop at anytime now...MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family.... I hope all of you that are traveling or have special people in your lives traveling, have a safe trip to wherever they are going.... We are definately having a white Christmas...Needless to say the wind is blowing hard and snowing yet...It is blustery cold and a good night to stay inside if you can... I don't even mind a white Christmas but this is a bit too much for me...I'm so thankful,I don't have to leave F-Town, but I pray for each and every person traveling, a very safe trip.... I won't be on tomorrow cuz I will making a big Christmas dinner in my home for my family and Jerry's Mom....We will open our presents and spend the day with our kids and their girlfriend and boyfriend....I am so excited to have this time with them...We don't get to do this very often...I'm going to cherish the moment.... 12/26/09 09:45 AM #6190     Cindy Georgi (Rosener) Happy Day After Christmas....Well I have made it so far...2 Christmases down one to go tonight....It definately has been a crazy Christmas (I think that could be a song title)....They keep saying F-Town got 5.5 inches of snow, but I really don't know how they go about measuring this...There are drifts all over...We have one drift on our back patio that is 5 foot deep or better...I just keep looking at it wondering how we are going to go about tackling that one..???? I'm sure Big Jer will let us know how to do it...LOL...The winds are still blowing this morning, but not as bad as yesterday...Yes, it is still bitterly cold too...I will have to say, I'm so thankful we didn't lose our electricity...There has been outages in the areas and that was a bit too close for comfort...I feel for the people who are dealing with this situation... We went to my parents on Christmas Eve and had a good time being together with my brother and his family too...Even though he only lives 20 miles from me, I don't get to see him very often...We all seem to be so busy in our lives.... Yesterday, I cooked the Christmas dinner....Usually we have Jerry's Mom come over, but with the weather, she decided she would just stay in....So it was Big Jer, and the kids....The dinner turned out good and then a bit of a rest (while I did the dishes), then it was to opening presents...After that it was resting again,(while I started up the laundry)....REally we have had a great time with the kids home with us...We don't get to do it very often and I'm going to cherish the moments... Tonight, we go to Jerry's Moms, along with his brother and families...This is quite a bunch...We always have a great time together...Looking forward to seeing everyone again.... Well I guess I best get off of here the first load is about finished, need to make snacks for tonight, and put some presents away.... Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with friends and family....Now for some rest and relaxation for today...AWWWW...Take Care... Ours went smoothly, we had about 35 people over Christmas eve and on Christmas day went to some friends house and had dinner there... Laurie and the kids were going to go to her parents house after Christmas, but the weather cancelled that, so on Saturday we went to Scottsbluff and did some after Christmas shopping... I was supose to go to work this weekend but everything was shut down, so now I'm off the next couple of days for Morgan's BB games Tuesday & Wednesday... You Guys take care and have a good week...

12/30/09 09:05 AM #6192     Cindy Georgi (Rosener) Good Morning classmates...Yes, I made it back to the forum....I was beginning to wonder if I would get back on here.... Christmas is all over now, so that leads to more work again....The presents have all been put away now, the tree and decorations are have been put in storage for another year, countless loads of laundry have been done, and cooking cooking cooking...:0) The only thing left to do is cleaning and boy does it ever need it...Then its back to starting all over again...LOL We had a great Christmas this year...What more could I want, I had both of my kids here and there boyfriend and girlfriend too...I would say, I am very lucky...The snow did put a crimp on things a bit, but we are fortunate that our family all lives right here in F-Town...So I hope those of you who had to travel had a safe holiday... The SNOW....We got another dusting of snow again through the night and it sounds like we may get some more...How many more days of winter do we have??? Thank God that my son is home, he has been doing a heck of a job of scooping...I so much appreciate him doing it...He has to go back to school in a few weeks...I hope this snow stops by then, or I will be out there with shovel in hand...UGH.... Well, the old Wal-Mart building has been made into a mall...A few things that are in it is, Radio Shack, a womens clothing store (that was originally downtown, an appliance store, an Archery store,and I think a couple open places that haven't been rented yet or at least not opened yet...Oh and Wally's....A sports bar....They just opened last night...I have heard that it is really nice and has numerous T.V.'s in it, and a wonderful menu....Nice to have somewhere else to go if a person wants to.... Nippler...I was just thinking, at the next reunion if we send you to Wal-Mart, and you get lost, I know I will find you at Wally's bellied up to the bar, drinking some chocolate milk...LOL...Don't think you are going to fool us again...We are all aware of all your tricks you pull...Hope you had a great Christmas....Take Care ...Miss you...Hugsss KEILWITZ....Sounds like you got some extra time off because of the snow during the Christmas holidays...What good timing for the snow to come in...I wish you would from now on please be not such a giving person...I would just as soon you would keep the snow to yourself.
