Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning classmates....

It is a cloudy day so far today....It is showering as we speak....

Thank God, Big Jer and Tyler got the last field of bean planting done last night....They had thought about waiting till today, but with Big Jer constantly staring at the weather channel, and his wheels a spinning in his head, he decided he best get it done yesterday....So we are officially done with the planting....We have been at this for 2 months....

It was my pleasure to get to see some of my classmates yesterday....It sure wasn't where I wanted to see them, but always enjoy seeing the people in my class....I attended Kenny Duensings funeral and that is where some of my classmates were....Jim Koenig, John Ayers, Sarge, Bill Sell, and Paula Lampe....I didn't get to visit with them long but even a few minutes of chatting was great in my book.. Paula sorry I didn't find you after the funeral....I would of loved to have visit with you as well....There were so many people and I would of loved to visit with them all....

Well, the wedding date has been set....July 9, 2011....The church and the reception place has been reserved....Now on to the caterer, D.J., Photographer, flowers, etc....Oh this is going to be so much fun....And my soon -to-be daughter-in-law, is just so awesome and involves me in things too....

Well, my men are home for lunch so I guess this women had best get them some food in their tummies....

Have a great day!!!!

Hey everyone

So sorry I haven't been on in a LONG time.  Still love you all though.  So sad to hear about Kenny's passing.  Thoughts & prayers to family and friends.

I know Sarge has mentioned about the Fairbury Total Reunion thingy that he and I are helping with July 24th in Fairbury.  A few years back, I was chatting with some of the folks who helped me in my old sound system (Total Sound) and we were talking about hosting a party in downtown Fairbury to celebrate it's 30 year anniversary.  Well it has grown and we tied in with the Fairbury Chamber to put it on.  Since Sarge and I have some pull, we can make sure the Class of 78 is highly recognized for all it's 50th B-Day celebrations.  We hope this is something to help reinvigorate the town and help folk stay better connected....sound familiar?

I will be sending out an e-mail blast inviting the class that would like to attend to come back for it but encourage you to help us get the word out as well.  It would be great to catch up again as we did at the reunion.

Miss you all tremendously and so glad to see you are all still staying connected.  I promise to do better!

Cindy Dear:  Happy belated B-Day.  Did you get my e-mail?  Did I help you out at all?!

Good Morning all....Yesterday it ended up clearing off mid afternoon and was a beautiful day...We had a thunderstorm go through last night and it produced .55 inches of rain....So, today we are starting the day out gloomy and we will have to wait and see what the rest of the day brings....

WOW....OPIE....Nice seeing you on here...Yes, it has been awhile for  you....We miss having you join us...Although, I do know you are really busy all the time....You did use a very big word in your posting...That was that you PROMISED to get on more....Yes, you promised you would and I'm glad you promised this...:0)  Have a wonderful day....hugs....Tell Lisa hello...

Keilwitz...Kind of scarey sending those kids out on there own, huh???  It always makes me wonder if I have taught them everything they need to know....LOL...Even though my kids are 24 and 21 I still have to remind them once in awhile of certain things...They look at me like I'm nuts (I am) but know better to say anything to me...LOL...I'm a Mom, dang it is my job!!!! Have a fantastic day.....

Sweet Pea....Hope you are missing out on the rain so you can get those beans in the ground..How are those grandbabies doing???  I'm sure they are busy trying to keep up with Ma and Poppy....Tell everybody on the ranch hello for me....Keep things a going, Sweet Pea....Love ya...hugsss

Wishing you all a wonderful day.....

Hello,

Thoughts and prayers go out to the Duensing family.  Kay and Kenny were more of the Park School buddies...I haven't seen Kay or Kenny in years.  One year when Lyle, Kenny, Kay and I were all in Park School we went Trick or Treating together....we had more candy then any kids should ever be allowed to have...I think we went to every house on the west side of the tracks....good memories!

Things are going well here, the guys have just spent the last 2 weeks planting beans, almost having the planter running nonstop and before that planting and replanting corn.  Now we are waiting to finish getting the beans in on a couple fields that are too wet.  But this morning we got another 2 inches....kind of a good thing bad thing, the corn that was planted and replanted was needing a little drink but now we have to start the count down on drying out all over again.

Cindy, What a good feeling to get the beans in!!  I bet the guys are glad they just went ahead and did it!  Always nice to get projects behind you....so you can move on to the next one!  Isn't that the way it works?  About your plans...let me know...I WOULD LOVE THAT!!!

Opie, It was great seeing you on here!  Cindy is right...You PROMISED  you would visit more often! You might regret saying those words!  And about that drink or drinks I owe you....sounds like a great plan to me!  I will TRY to be there!

I'm looking forward to a trail ride in a couple weeks....the horse that I usually ride for these trips has pulled a muscle or somethng...so he will have to stay home.  I'm taking another friends horse instead.  Thank goodness for good friends that let you use their horse!

Have a good week everyone!

Hey Guys, Whats new in the world, Me? Just got home from work... Time to get on the computer and check everything out... Looks like rain again tonite, man the other nite rained like crazy for about 30 minutes, over and inch and a half, had water running everywhere... Sure is green out and don't have to worry about the dust blowing...

Cindy G, Morgan and Ty made it home this afternoon, so I can quit worrying(?)... Sounds like they had a good time and found their way around Omaha just fine... She found out what classes she needed and registered for then this afternoon, so hopefully we are set there... Sounds like this all class reunion  thing could get alittle wild, might have to hire a extra cop to help out,  SARGE?  Besides that SARGE, Whats going on with Nebraska heading to the big 10???

Catch you Guys next time....

06/10/10 04:10 PM #6698

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Sarge....Will you PLEASE explain this Big 10 deal to me?  Why is Nebraska pulling out...then Texas A & M and Texas Tech...then soon to be Oklahoma!  Where does that leave Kansas?

Doug "Sarge" Klaumann

Cindy,

I'd be more than happy to explain the expansion talks and reasoning with you.  Just stop by and we'll sit out on the patio and talk all night!

After I first heard the rumors, I had to ponder whether the move would be a smart one.  I've decided that it would be in the best interest of the University of Nebraska.  You have to consider the financial and academic impact that will happen to Dear Ole NE U!

Texas fans what to BLAME Nebraska for the possible break up of the Big 12.  Well all I can say is, TOUGH SHIT TEXAS, maybe you're not as big as you thought you were!  Ahh that felt good to say.

06/11/10 11:04 AM #6701

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning all...It is a very windy and partly cloudy skies today....They always throw in chances of rain, just in case it does rain I think...

Things here at the Roseners is busy as usual...It would be great to have things slow down a bit...I will patiently wait...:0/

Sargey...Well, if this switch is for financial reasons, I wish they would quit raising the tuition each and every year....4 or 6 % raise this year and I think last year it was a 8-10%....If they keep it up there isn't going to be a kid that can afford to go to college....I'm glad to say we only have one more year of it....If you are going to say that is what scholarships are for, well good luck with that....They hand out a lot of scholarships, but not much in the Ag. programs....Very limited....Okay, I'm done getting that off my chest and I hope they get this football thing all figured out cuz I'm tired of hearing about it....That is all that is on T.V. and all that anybody talks about....Have a good day!!!!

Bill....Wished I could of spent more time with you visiting when you were back....So many people...It was great to see that...He was loved by many....Hope all is well at your home....Think about you often....Have a great weekend....Hugs

Sweet Pea....I'm glad you don't understand the whole football thing....I'm blank on it and it is getting on my nerves....What nerves I have left....LOL...I thought of you the other day...I was at the grocery store and was picking me up some Peachtree Schnapps (to make fuzzy navel slushes..Yummy)...There was a bottle of cherry vodka....LOL...HA HA HA...Two hands right????  Love you, girlfriend....I'll always keep the memories tucked deep inside....  Wishing you a great weekend....Hugssss

Hope you all have a funfilled weekend planned....Take Care

06/12/10 06:17 PM #6702

Doug "Sarge" Klaumann

Well Cindy, that wasn't the sole reason, but in time it will be a good finanical move.  Unfortuneately the addition revenue will not start tomorrow, and it could down the road a few years.  Time will tell on that one.

Therefore, the hike in tution is for the present and hopefully in the future there won't be those type of hikes.  However, that doesn't help you out at this time.

06/13/10 12:33 AM #6703

Cindy Pfingsten (Judd)

Evening ALL!

Sarge....I just might have to do that, drop by....so you can EXPLAIN Nebraska's decision...I know, I know, it is once again all about the money!  But where does this leave my state?  I know you must be worried about that!  LOL

Cindy, as hot and humid as it is right now, a slushy fuzzy navel sounds like just the ticket!  Dang, we need to get together soon for one of those!  Guess I need to come up there so we can discuss something else besides the "Nebraska Thang".....since it is getting on your nerves!  WE could talk about farming.............now that is about as bad as the Nebraska Thang, some days!  Anything exciting going on in the BIG F-Town?  The only thing I get to hear about around here, is how sick of rain my hubby is....I do have to admit....it is about to drive us all crazy!  Memories Cindy?  Locked away....Love you!

I hope everyone who gets on to read has a great weekend!  Miss you all!

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Hello all....Today is starting off rather nice...Partly cloudy skies, no wind and great temps....The temps today are to be around 82....

The wheat is starting to ripen....So that means harvest will be right around the corner....All you Kansas people need to let me know when the wheat harvest starts there as we are usually about 2 weeks or so behind you...Of course our wheat harvest will be very

short this year due to the hail storm that went through Kansas...This is my favortie harvest, dang, and it gets cut short....Oh well life goes on!!!!!  On the other hand, our fall harvest will be a long and drawn out affair....oops don't know what happenedddd!!!!!!!

We have been getting some rains off and on here in F-Town...Not real big amounts like some areas...The night before last we had .20 here and Daykin had 1.20....One good thing about it, I haven't had to water the yard yet....I'm sure that time will come...

So are any of you taking some exciting vacations this year???  We would sure love to hear about each and every one of them....I'm ready for a vacation.....I just want to sit and do nothing....LOL

The total sound reunion is approaching us soon...Sounds like a lot of people will be attending...That is a wonderful thing....Hope you all are making plans to come...Thank you Opie and the rest of Total Sound for making this possible....

Well, I need to get going, as there is work to be done....Damn...

Wishing you all a wonderful day,....Take Care

Good Morning All, Sorry that I haven't been on, work has been busy... Worked the last week straight and it looks like this week will be the same... We go from having 100 people laided off in our department this winter, to having everyone recalled, and now we are short of people... It's a good thing I know having everybody making pay checks again...

Well Guys gotta go get a few things done, heading back to work this afternoon....

Take Care All!!!

Good Morning all.....

Just  have a few minutes here to shout out to you....

Things are not sounding so good here with Rosener Ag....We received 1.45 inches of rain in the Daykin area last night with winds and hail....Sounds as though the corn is stripped...Big Jer is out crop scouting so will know more later....Will our only wheat field be totaled too??????  Oh, how things can change so fast around here...

Otherwise life is great here....Yesterday it was 96 and humid....With gusty winds...Felt like a oven with a fan....

Need to run....Hope you all have a great weekend...

Happy Fathers Day to all you Daddys.......

06/19/10 10:33 AM #6708

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good stormy morning from F-Town....As I am writing to you, we are having a bit of a storm go through...Lightening, showers, and and breezy....The temps today are suppose to get in the upper 80's....It has been very humid here, so if you are coming to F-Town, ladies there is no use for you to fix your hair pretty, because it will be limp and wet by the time you step foot out the door....Gives us all an excuse any ways....LOL

Well our crops did get hit by the hail the night before....We do have some damage, but Big Jer thinks it won't be real bad...I hope he knows what he is talking about..LOL...The winds were strong also, so corn is laying down, but hopefully it will come out of it....Constant stress here at the Roseners....Maybe that is what keeps us so young....LOL...Or makes us so old....We just take things one day at a time...Ready for a stress free day....

Wedding plans are going pretty good so far...I hope it continues to go good for them...I really haven't done anything so far...They have been doing it themselves, but I would imagine in time they will be asking for some help....Reservations....Preacher and church...check....Reception Elks...check....Caterer....check....Photographer....Go see Sunday or Monday....D.J....this week....I don't think Tyler realizes that this is the easiest part...It's all those little decisions that will set him nuts....LOL...It is good for him...Will make him a real man....LOL

Everybody have big plans for the weekend???  We had a birthday party last night we attended and I think today we will get some things done around here....That will be my fun....I will just try to make fun out of everything I do....It makes for a much more enjoyable day...:0)

Wishing you all a laid back kind of weekend...Enjoy yourselves....Take Care

Good Morning Everyone, First of all, Randy Hummel family been thinking of you guys... Sorry that I didn't get on earlier to say that...

Well as Michale used to say it's hump day, boy time is sure flying along... We're finally getting some sunshine, not that I mind the rain, but the sun seems to put people in a happier mood, me included... Looks like sunshine for the rest of the week, with evening thunder storms, looks like the weather is getting back to normal...

Well guys gotta go get some stuff done, catch ya next time...

06/24/10 10:53 AM #6711

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning all....Sorry, Sorry, Sorry....I have neglected this website for a bit here....Just been busy and haven't taken the time to get on....I will try to do better on that...

We have had bunches of rain....I know at one time Big Jer said we had about 5 inches in 2 days...But, we have had more than that since....I lose track after awhile, as we have the Narka rainfall, Daykin rainfall, and the F-Town rainfall....How am I suppose to log all these numbers in my brain....I only have so many brain cells and this leads to limited space....

My deepest sympathies go out to the Hummel family....I'm so sorry to hear of your loss....May you find comfort in the memories of your Dad....

Yesterday, was a day of outside work....It has been neglected for a while now....Had some bushes and trees to trim and hall away...2 pickup loads of tree branches from our weeping willow....My flowers have had better days....I lost about 15 perennials in one flower bed over the winter...My potted plants have had mega rainfall, hail and gusting winds...So they are looking a bit sick...Although I haven't had to water them much this year....

Keilwitz, Bill, Scott, and Sarge....It is so nice to read your postings...Thanks for coming on and keeping us updated in your worlds...We love hearing what is going on in everybodies lives....Whether it is good or bad...That is what we are all here for...If in need of someone to unload our problems on, this is the place....:0)

Well, time is a ticking and I have mucho things to do again today...I wish I had a day where there was absolutely nothing to do...That would be great....

Wishing you all a wonderful day.....Keep in touch and take care...

Hey Guys, Whats up?  Hey Roe Man Happy Belated Birthday, hope it wasn't to hard on you...

Just got home from work, sitting around having a little nite cap and checking up on things... Things slowed down at work for a couple of days, we have flooding in the St. Joe area, so anything headed to Kansas City is either getting rerouted or parked for a few days... I'm sure it will bust loose Sunday or Monday unless it rains some more... It will make for an interesting 4th of July, everybody will want off and the railroad will want everyone working...

Tomorrow is Alliance's turn to hold the swim meet, so our house will be up bright and early helping to get ready for the big day... It's kinda fun, this will be Morgan's last year, and Ty went out after a 2 year absence to try and stay in shape for wrestling, so I get to watch then both... And if everything works out right, I'll be home Sunday so we can spend the day at the lake...

Well gang this old man is heading to bed, hope you have a great weekend!!!

06/28/10 08:06 AM #6713

Jim Keilwitz

Morning All, Beautiful day out today, sunshine, calm, about 60 degrees and I don't have to go to work until noon.... It was a good weekend for us, swim meet went well Saturday, weather was nice, kids did well and had fun... Then yesterday went to the lake for the day, jet sking, tubing, and had a lot of fun... I suppose all you guys have big weekend plans for the 4th, still don't know what we will be doing, just playing it by ear, don't know what the work schedule will be... Take care and have a good week.

06/28/10 09:29 AM #6714

Cindy Georgi (Rosener)

Good Morning classmates....

Yesterday, was the most beautiful day....It cooled down a bit....Friday and Saturday were oh so hot and humid...Heat index was 105 on Saturday.....It sure is ripening the wheat fast though...So there is always something good out of everything...

It looks like we will be doing our wheat harvest this week....This is my favorite harvest and we don't have much because of the hail storm....Dang....I will survive I suppose....Fall harvest will be none stop and forever....UGH.....My least favorite harvest....:0) I think I will just keep on smiling and that will take care of my stress....RIGHT????

Saturday we went to a very good friend of my sons wedding...What a beautiful day it was....It kind of hit me, that my kids really are grown up....I don't know that I can handle this!!!!  All the best friends standing at the altar brought back so many memories of these boys (I guess they are men) camping out at my home....Now they are getting married....Brought some tears to my eyes....I will be a total mess at Tyler and Mikaelas wedding and I've already informed them of this....It will be happy tears, but wow where did the time go????  I miss having a house full of kids hanging out and cooking for them....Well those days are pretty much over....Just hoping these kids stay connected throughout the years....So far, they have done a good job of it, as they are scattered all over....

Keilwitz....Glad you had some time off to enjoy watching your kids at the swim meet...Always brings such excitment when your own kids are participating in activites....Enjoy those days as like I said before, time goes by so quickly...Day at the lake....That had to feel good....I wish you were my Daddy...LOL.  No second thought. I guess I don't wish that, you would be able to tell me what to do then....LOL....I really have enough bosses right now....And I love them so much I don't care what they tell me...I can always ignore them, right?????  Wishing you a great week....Take Care....Oh, are you coming to F-Town anytime soon????

Well I had better get back to work....Need to get the laundry going and the kitchen cleaned up from making lunches this morning....Hope you all have a wonderful day....Take Care...

Morning all.....The next few days are going to be perfect temps....In the 80's....I love the weather like this....

Well we were to start harvest yesterday, but always a few glitches when you want to get things a rolling...So we will just see what today brings...Maybe it will be a good day....Everyday is a good day in my book....Even the bad ones I try to overlook...Sometimes it can be hard, but life goes on and we need to find something good in everything that is bad....

Fourth of July weekend is approaching us....Hope you all have the fireworks bought and big plans for a great weekend....

Bill...It is great to hear from you....I will tell Tyler and Mikaela congrats for you and Barb...Thank you so much....The kids have the ball a rolling on making arrangements for their big day....They are pretty excited, if they can just get this last year of college behind them....They are finding out really fast also how much a wedding really does cost....So yes, pray for us to have wonderful harvests this year....$$$$$$$$$....I did know what you meant..LOL...Probably the most expensive part of the wedding is beverages...YIKES....Of course, that is a must in this wedding reception...LOL....Young kids, beverages, good time, priceless$$$$$$$$  Have a great day Bill and tell Barb hello also....Take care my friend....

Need to get some errands ran so I can head to the farm before they fire me...YIKES

Good Afternoon to you All!

Summer is here and time to make hay and harvest!  We don't have wheat this year...but I wish we did, we like to use the straw for bedding in the bitter cold temps during calving....I wish Roseners wheat field was closer!  Good Luck with wheat harvest Jerry and Cindy!

Bill, I was thinking about you yesterday....wondering how in the world do you put up with these hot temperatures year around?  But these hot temperatures are making great looking brome bales....the color is perfect!  I rode with Dave on Sunday....everytime we would go another round he would say" The bales look great, don't they!"  We no longer put up any little squares...we put up big squares and big rounds.  We have the equipment to manage them.....Skid steer and Bob cat took the place of teenagers hauling hay!  Heck...I think you would have to drive to the ends of the earth to find young men to haul hay...it is totally unheard of around here!   Oh, but I do remember the days of seeing many of you covered in alfalfa hay after hauling 1,000's of 100+ pound bales!  No wonder the young guys today are so soft!

I went on a week long trail ride with some girlfriends....it was great fun!  The best part was going to the pool after a long hot ride on the trails.  I wish I had a pool here!
