I hope all is well for you and your families.

Sorry I've been missing for soooo long.  I've been working on the road for many weeks, and then trying to get all the farm work done -- like Cindy says, it is a never ending task.  We enjoyed a super harvest this fall - I didn't stop because of weather the entire time.  Some yields were a little disappointing, while others were surprizing.  This fall, I didn't have to worry about using "vacation', as I now set MY OWN schedule.  I'm really enjoying that.

I hope you all got your bellies full on Thanksgiving....I had an amazing time with all of my family...My house was full again with our kids, fiance and boyfriend...Oh it felt so good and homey again....So good to have the kids come home to visit...We went to my parents on Thanksgiving day and had the most (as ususal) delicious meal...I have to much to be thankful for again this year and I hope the next year is just as wonderful....

Bill glad to hear that Barb is telling you what to do again...(Hope the pies turned out oh so yummy)...That means she is feeling better and that she has the upper hand on you...LOL...I don't care how old you are now, I think you will always need a little guidance...Just kidding....Nice hearing from you buddy....Are you coming back for Christmas???

Ron...So nice to hear from you again...Yes, the harvest was amazing this year wasn't it???  What job do you have now???  Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving....

How about them Huskers yesterday....They were fun to watch....I love them skers....

Good Morning....

What a great Thanksgiving I had this year again....Family, Friends, and the most delicious food...What more could I want....Hope each and everyone of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too...

Now its on to Christmas....I've decided maybe I take this Christmas a bit to far....All the present buying, wrapping, candy and cookie making, decorating, etc...It gets a bit stressful....And I hate to admit it, but the older I get the more stressful and worn out I get....I guess a person has to admit their getting old at one point or another....I have some shopping done, but have a long ways to go that is for sure...Then the wrapping which I don't like to do at all...I'm about ready to give their presents in Wal-Mart sacks...LOL..It would be a lot cheaper too!!!  A person doesn't realize how expensive it gets to wrap with ribbons and bows etc...Then it is ripped apart in no time and put in the garbage....At least with a Wal-Mart sack they could carry it around with them...:0/  I think I'm starting to become a Scrooge with all of this...Bah Humbug!!!

So if anybody has any really Christmas cookies or candy recipes to share with me I would love to have them....Love trying new things..

I need to get my duty list made for the week...Then on to getting the Christmas lists made....

Hello classmates....

Everybody must be making their lists and checking it twice....I know that is what I have been doing...I went and did some more shopping on Tuesday in Lincoln....Now I just have a few more things to get and then I call it quits....UGH....It gets to be a full time job figuring out what to get everybody...Then I look at what I've bought and know I now have wrap it all...OMG...I hate wrapping....Oh well, it is for the people I love so it will be worth it...

So where is everybody???  Inquiring minds want to know???

Today was a very nice day out...As well as yesterday...I went shopping on the coldest and windiest day we have had....It put me in the spirit I guess..Cuz, I bought lots...LOL...

Things are busy around here as usual...The income tax papers are starting to come out....Oh how I love income taxes....They make everybody in such a good mood....I best start hiding what I've been buying so Big Jer don't see all of it...LOL...Actually he was with me on Tuesday, he pretty much knows....LOL

Well I hope you all find a bit of time to talk with me sometime...I miss hearing from all of you...

Howdy all!!!

I have been really busy as usual...I'm hoping some of this slows down after the holidays, but I have a feeling it isn't going to until possibly next year...I know something else will come into play by then....2011 is already looking very busy so far....It is all good though and besides it keeps me out of trouble...I really don't know what kind of trouble I'm going to get into at my age but I guess I could still try...right???

I need to get the tree up before Christmas is over....Presents need to be wrapped....I will be done with the shopping this week...As long as some of the gifts show up by mail...Always a worry for me....

Lisa bought a different house in Holdrege now, so that means we have a move to help with....I usually get stuck with the cleaning and unpacking of the kitchen...Those are may main duties...She will most likely be moving sometime next month or Feb....Time will tell...She is pretty excited and we are excited for her as well....May will come around and Tyler and Mikaela will be moving back to their house....I'm sure the cleaning thing will be in order for me there too....UGH...Wedding plans have and will be going on till July 9th the big day....Plus tons of things to get done around here, income taxes, and throw in some farming too....How am I suppose to get all my deep cleaning done???  I will put that on the back burner and if I find time I will do it....Thought about doing some redecorating, but I think I have enough stress and irons in the fire at this time...Might be a bit more relaxing to do it at a later date...

Those Huskers just didn't have it going for them on Saturday....Oh well, life goes on and I still love those Huskers regardless....

Hello all....

It looks as though I am pretty much talking to myself again....Where did everybody go/??  Am I missing out on something????

The Christmas tree and decorations are up,  the shopping is done, 1/2 the wrapping is finished, and now we will go on to baking cookies, and making candy...Or this is so much work, but yet fun too....

The 16th is my baby girls 25th birthday...We will head out to Holdrege and spend the night, go out for dinner and enjoy her company...Will make her a turtle cheesecake too....WOW where did those 25 years go???  Life goes by us so fast....Its to bad sometimes we don't take the time to enjoy it more..

So what kind of cookies and candies are your favorite at Christmas??Give me some new ideas...

Well need to go get some food organized for dinner tonight...Hope you all have a great night...

 Hope all is well for everyone back in God's Country. sounds like it might get a little cool back there this weekend. should be in the 60's here this weekend. sorry to rub it in!!!!

 Gettin all your Shopping done? Tis the Season.. I have just been sending my paychecks directly to Toys R Us since thats all we have been Buying lately. It's going to be slim pickens for everyone else in the Family. Thats OK though, what are Grand Kids for anyway??

 Anybody going to the Holiday Bowl this Year???, ya know Vegas is only 5 Hours away. You guy's could make a nice little Vaca out of it and come to Vegas and we could have a Cocktail or 2. I would even Buy....

 We've had a lot of Wranglers and Cowboy Hats this week here with the Rodeo going on. Cindy P/J where the Hell are you at????????? Nebraska has been represented well in the Event. Might even have a couple Guys win there events....

 Well its about 9:15 a.m. and the little Lady is Done with Her shower and wants to go Shopping. Gee, I wonder where we will Go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Boys & Girls, Hope All of you are doing Well.... I don't know where the time goes anymore, it seems like it's go, go, go.... Ty has started wrestling and has had about 4 meets, he's about 50/50 on wins and losses, keep telling him he's just a freshman, hang in there and keep working at it... Had a cool weekend but it's warming up today, I think it's suppose to get to mid 50's, I can live with that...

Ron, I just read your profile up date, it makes me laugh, sounds like a lot of mangers are getting to be the same all over... You earn time off, but they want to control how you use it.. can relate to that....

Cindy G, I hope you have a good time at you daughter's b-day... I'm sure everything around your house is ready for Christmas, so now all you have to do, is set back and enjoy....

Hello classmates....

It has been a very busy last couple of weeks for me....The shopping and wrapping is finally finished, the candy and cookies are made and some have already been delivered....Now to get the cleaning done, and figure out what I'm cooking for Christmas dinner...sigh

Jerry and I went to Holdrege last week to see Lisa and help her celebrate her birthday...Wow where do the years go???  She can't be 25, cans she???  I had her when I was 25???  Anyway we had a great time there with her....

Tyler was home this weekend but didn't see much of him...He started Christmas with Mikaela's aunts uncles and cousins...He had to go back to Lincoln to work this week, so he will probably be back again Thursday....

It will be so nice to have my kids all home again...I love filling up my nest....and it is fun to cook for them too....

Sorry Bill about the slipping...Didn't intend to do that...Hope Barb is getting along much better now....Good to see you are spending that hard earned money on the grandson....:0)....Wishing you and Barb a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!!!!

 Hope all is well. I'am guessing by Friday you Guy's are goin to have a Shit load of snow in God's Country. It has been raining hard here for the last 24 hrs. We have only gotten 1 inch, but that is alot for here at one time. it always seems to get there a few Days later. We did get 4 ft. of white stuff in the Mountains..

Hope all went well for the Holiday"s for everyone. It has been busy...

Hopefully the New Year is good to all.The Families all have good Health,the job Market is good to all,Friends meet one another. Just plain and simple, Hope it is a GOOD NEW YEAR....

I realize I have not been on here like I probably should have been, but I also know that Mates that were on here all the time before all of a sudden Quit... Since you Guy's are the majority of the ones using this site, Does Opie really need to put out the Bucks for it? Just Wondering? I realize with Facebook and all the other shit that is out there that the mates have other options, but it is funny they were all on here before and it was fine. I guess it just makes me sad that no cares about this site anymore. Do we want to keep it going Thanks to Opie, or do we kick in ourselves? Just wondering...

Hello all...

I finally made it back to the site....

What an amazing Christmas our family had this year....It was just much fun and relaxing for the most part....Wonderful gifts, family and friends...What more could I have wanted.  The weather cooperated too...

Yesterday was a day of getting things organized around here a bit...Cleaning out all the food leftover from the holidays, putting presents away, and most of all doing LAUNDRY....WOW, a person doesn't realize how much laundry I used to do at one time...LOL..Still love having the kids at home though laundry or not...

Now, to bring on the New Year!!!  Welcome 2011!!!  Wishing you all happiness, good health, and lots of good times....Just wishing you all the best!!!

Don't know that we will do much for New Years Eve this year...I may be a Designated Driver for some people....Now that is starting my New Year off just right, don't you think???  Hopefully they would do the same for me sometime...:0)

Well need to get back to the laundry room....Have a great weekend...

Good Morning all...

Hope your New Year has started out perfectly for you....Mine hasn't been quite the way I wanted it to be, but that is life and I'm dealing with it....Thursday night an hour before the Nebraska bowl game came on we got a phone call from Jerry's Mom...She had fell....Jerry went over and called the ambulance and we all went to the hospital....She end up fracturing 4 ribs...Very painful for her...Plus the pain meds were making her sick and dizzy...Needless to say, she was in the hospital till yesterday, and they transferred her to the Heritage Nursing home for short termed care to get her strengthened back to where she was....WHEW....

The day after the fall I woke up with the worst cold....I thought my head was going to explode...I didn't feel and better till yesterday....Still am feeling worn out and I have this ungodly cough I would love to give to someone else...Any takers????  No I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy...

So, I'm just hoping all of these circumstances and there are other small stresses that went on too, aren't an omen for what this year has planned for us....YIKES....

The Huskers didn't quite do what I was expecting out of them for the bowl game....I'm really hoping that next year will be a much better year....GO BIG RED!!!!  I will foreverbe their fans no matter what!!!

I haven't been on here for MANY weeks so I thought I'd touch base today.  The new year has started and I'm hoping 2011 proves to be better than 2010.  So far, not so much!  LOL  

Bill in answering your question about whether we or should I say Opie needs to continue to pay for this site, I'd like to proide a little input.  Yes, it is rather expensive to have this site, but Opie and I agree that it's a vital tool in keeping in touch with our classmates.  It's a real pain in the rear when it's reunion time and we are scrambling to track down classmates.  As you probably know, each year all classmates are emailed and asked to update their profile.  This a great tool for keeping phone numbers and addresses current.  In addition, via this site we can print of address lists, phone lists etc.  In addition, we can plan a reunion on here right down to setting up this website so people can pre-register with a credit card.  I do have to say, in regards to the mass emailing, we did have seven classmates who apparently discontinued their email address.  In the grand scheme of things, I guess that's not all that bad.

For the above reasons alone, I would like to see this site continue.  Sure, the activity has dropped off for the forum, but for administrative purposes I feel we need to keep the site.  NOW, one thing that does bother me is, Opie paying for the site.  I don't feel it is right that he has to fork out the money to keep us subscribed.  I really would like to see "US" all the classmates make a monetary donation so Opie does have to pay it all. 

If there is anyone out there that would like to donate, you can send a check to my address and I will make sure it goes in to our checking account.  You can either call me or email me at sarge@neb.rr.com and I will forward my home address.

Just so you know, our subscription expired a few months back.  Opie was kind enough to renew it AGAIN.

Good Morning classmates.....

WOW!!!!  So Sorry it has been a long long time for me....The winter is suppose to be our slower months, well that isn't happening for sure this year....

With wedding planning, and getting ready for the first move of the year, it has kept us busy and on our toes....Then our kids never cease to amaze us at times....:0)...We have been to banquets for some hard earned terrific awards that are paying for some extended education for Tyler....Plus advancements in the Agronomy department for Lisa....All reasons to celebrate...right???

The first move takes place this next weekend at Holdrege....Please pray for good weather....By the way I think I will make this known to them that this is the last move I'm lifting a box...LOL...I will clean, cook, whatever, but no moving again...their friends are a lot younger...LOL...My back already hurts just thinking about it...:0/

I spent quality time with my future daughter-in-law and her Mom Saturday....Trying to get the decorations, fowers and cake all in order for the wedding...It was a lot of fun, but a bit mind boggling for this old lady...LOL....A lot was accomplished, but a long was to go yet...If about 5 more major things were done I could breathe a bit easier....It will get done in time, I know!!!

This website has been way way to quiet...Why is this??? Because YOU have not been getting on here and writing to us....At least I gave you an excuse, what is your????

Need to run some errands before lunch, so I best be on my way....

Hello Classmates....

I know it has been awhile since I have been on, but where are all you guys???? 

I have been busy completing the first move of the year....We went to Holdrege where our daughter, Lisa moved to a different house....Yes, I'm getting a bit old to be moving, and boy can the body feel the pain...UGH....But she is moved and that is the main thing....She has a really nice home and we had some fun with the move as well...Of course we we all beat by yesterday....

Now onto others things before the next move in May...This is when Tyler will be moving back to Fairbury...I hope the muscles are feeling better by then..LOL

Doing some catch up around the hut here today....Need to go to the store to load up as we are suppose to get 7-10 inches of snow....It has already sleeted some and the wind is coming up as I type...The wind chill is suppose to be around -25 tomorrow....This is when I will stay in where it is warm and get some things done here...

KEILWITZ, BILL SWEET PEA, SARGEY, LITTLE BUDDY, NIPPLER, MICHALE, ROE, I CAN KEEP ON GOING ON AND ON, WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU GUYS...YOU JUST LOVE TO GET MY BLOOD PRESSURE ESCALATED....

Hopefully I will be able to get on here a bit more in the next few weeks, but I can't promise anything as I have some major projects to get done....Deep cleaning needs to be started as well....

Ron, Thank you for the birthday wishes and Happy belated B-day to you... Is it just me or is it getting harder to find underware that fits right the older you get? This question has been driving me crazy for awhile... So how is semi retirement treating you? I'll bet you don't miss working the night shift anymore... I am so looking foreward to the day when I can sleep in my own bed every nite...

Cindy G, OK I'm ready, Sorry about being absent, so when are you going to get everyone else to get back on? I'm sure you make a great mover, maybe you would come help me when we have to move my girls back home... Hope all is well with the family... Besides we are getting some of that beautiful white stuff that you love so MUCH... Plan on heading to Omaha, 3rd week of March for state wrestling, Ty didn't make varsity but we are going to go watch and see what it's like... Looks like the weekend is pretty much booked between state wrestling, Nebraska wrestling on Saturday, and seeing the girls...

Thanks for the B-Day wish, too, Jim!

You know; finding a good fit for any type of clothing is tougher than it used to be.  I'm not so sure the "size" labels are the same as they used to be.... at least that is the story I'm sticking to!

You're also very right about the night shift -- I don't miss those AT ALL!  I also don't miss the 16+ hour days; where they don't even give a "thank you" for keeping the plant out of trouble at the end.

I just came home from attending the funeral services for Matt's mother, Darlyne.  My sincere condolences to Matt and his entire family.  The service was really nice, and was a good reminder for us to celebrate her wonderful life.  She had a very full life, with so much to celebrate.  I will always carry fond memories of her.

I was able to send a few minutes with Matt, and saw our good friend John Ayers all decked out in his uniform.  John suggested that I get my a$$ into the right century, and join Facebook.  I'll have to get something done, as THAT seems to be the main means to "communicate" with our Classmates now.

I also visited with many of the people Matt and I knew from the Daykin area -- there was a good crowd.  Matt's cousins, Greg and Curtis Maschman were there, too.  They are are also old friends of mine, as our parents always had card parties, etc., where all the kids got to play together for hours on end.  Curtis is the District Judge for the county area near Cooper, and he asked if I was still working there.  I think he knew I wasn't, as he provided some very interesting feedback on how much Cooper is missing me.  Funny how things have turned out since they "showed me the door".

Everybody take care!  We have much to be grateful for!

Well Well....Jim and Ron you have made my day....So nice seeing someone on here....Happy belated birthday to you both....Another year older and wiser, right???

Taxes Taxes, Taxes....UGH....I hate this time of the year....My husband don't really like this time of the year but he loves playing with numbers so that makes him happy...He should of been an accountant...LOL...

This is suppose to be our slow time of the year but for some odd reason, we are really busy doing numerous things....We have been doing so many different things I don't even know what we have done....Sign of aging, yes....We finish one thing and then on to another....I would love to take a trip somewhere, but I can see it isn't going to happen this year...I will hope for next year....

Thoughts and Prayers to my Little Buddy and family....So sorry for the loss of your Mom...I didn't know her well but what I did know of her, she was a very wonderful lady...And she raised such a wonderful family....You will have so many memories to cherish and get you through this difficult time....Love and Hugs to you and Kristie....

The temps are suppose to be warm this weekend...So looking forward to Spring....

5 1/2 months till my baby boy gets married....YIKES....I'm starting to get nervous, emotional, excited, throw them all together and I'm going to be a mess....My kids already know it...They usually can figure me out....Oh well, I will get through it just like everybody else that goes through it....It will be a fun and memorable time....Another chapter in my book....I should write a book...Wow, the things I could write about....LOL

Well need to get something figured out for lunch....Get some laundry switched around etc....

Nice seeing some classmates on here and would love to see more...

Morning Boys & Girls, Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentines... Beautiful day today, I think we are going to hit mid 50's today, what a change from last week.... Working on laundry and packing, we are heading to Hebron tomorrow nite, stop and see the folks for alittle bit Thursday morning and head to Omaha after that... State wrestling starts Thursday afternoon, so it's a weekend of that and seeing the girls...
