After high school, I attended SCC-Beatrice where I received my Associate of Arts in Elementary Education. I then went on to Peru State and completed my Bachelors of Science in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. In August of 2002 I began my career as a teacher for Meridian Public School teaching 4th and then 3rd grade for a total of 5 years. While teaching, I worked on my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Doane College which I completed in July of 2007. I am currently a 2nd grade teacher for Grand Island Public Schools.
