Went into practice in Coeur d’Alene Idaho for several years, and spent a year and a half working at the Woodland clinic, during which time we had our son Stephen, however, in 1988 went back to the University of Washington, where I completed a research fellowship, as well as a second residency. I joined the faculty at UC Davis school of medicine in 1988. there, I served as a professor and worked for the last 15 years in the Dean’s office. I also served as the interim dean of the school of medicine and vice chancellor for human health sciences. After a second term as interim vice chancellor for human health sciences, I retired in 2018. I have returned, part time, to UC Davis school of medicine to do research in technology and aging. Working part time has allowed Lisa and I to travel more. I enjoy swimming every day, and luckily getting to spend time with my son and his wife who live in Davis.
