Bobbie Berson Rich

Started my professional career as a Medical Technologist, due in no small part to Biology II with Miss McConnell! BS Biology from Russell Sage College and MS in Med Tech from Cal State Dominguez Hills, CA. Taught med tech students, eventually joined clinical lab diagnostic equipment vendor as a Technical Trainer...later joined several different vendors as technical sales person (much more fun!) Joined very small clinical lab consulting firm as VP Sales with responsibilities that included recruitment and hiring. Company moved me back from CA to CT in 1987, but was sold in 1991 and I lost my job. Did my own thing with recruitment, resume prep, job search consulting, etc. Also delivered training for Learning International(later AchieveGlobal). Hired as full time training consultant - got bored. Missed sales. Hired by BT/Novations as sales person/relationship manager for CT/NY. Company folded after 9/11. Recruited by Right Management and spent 9 very successful years there as a VP of Sales for the CT market. "Retired" in Jan of this year, took the month of Feb off and am now working in sales for Emerge Leadership Group as an independent contractor. Also do some sales training for a couple of small companies in the area. Told you it was long and checkered!

Married in 1965, divorced in 1978, finally came out as a lesbian after that. Have been with my partner for 40 years!

Lots of memories....all of us piling into Linda Miller's tiny little Nash and going to football games...sneaking into the drive-in (they must have charged us by the head instead of the car-why else were we hiding??); lots of pj parties at Betty Ann Sirotnak's house...somehow found her and had dinner with her in Chicago many years ago. But lost her again. I loved my time at AWHS-much more so than college. It was a very special time and we were lucky to have been a part of it. Can't wait to see everyone in October.
