Lori is another classmate who initially attempted to pull me out of the doldrums of being "new girl on campus" my junior year.
The problem is that I couldn't lipread Lori. (And I never could the whole time I was there at FHS) But I knew she meant well.
My lasting memory is of her scrounging for a piece of paper and writing down "hello!" All that "work" just to say "hello" really impressed my jaded senses at the time.
