I'm a union sheet metal mechanic (since 1992). Our children play string instruments so we spend a lot of time concentrating on music. I home schooled my children for two years and loved the experience. We have traveled all over the US checking out museums, aquariums, zoos and even went scuba diving in Pompano Beach (with 8 kids). We still play in the snow, on snowboards, skis, sleds and now we've added quad racing and dirt bike racing.

While sitting on stage at our graduation ceremony I had a few friends in the audience grouped together. Their only goal that evening was to make me laugh while on stage. In my failed attempt to hide tears (from laughter), shaking in my seat that I think was mistaken for trembling (also from laughing), our classmate Terri Weir (whom I've known since kindergarten) reached over to me and very seriously said "I know, isn't this sad?" I almost had to exit stage right.
