Wayne McConchie

After graduation I spent the first several years working as an auto mechanic apprentice. Later becoming a service adviser. In 1992 I started my current career in the HVAC field and it has been very good to me. I was married for a few years, my wife and I purchased a home together out in Chantilly in 1998. Our marriage ended in 2000. Fortunately I was able to keep the home and still live there. I share my home with a family member and an old friend with her daughter Mia. She is 8 years old and brings a lot of joy to my life. In 2002 I joined Arcola United Methodist Church and am active there. I have an awesome church family and my life has been enriched there. My pastimes include, walking my dog, Rocco, fishing, hunting, golfing, and just plain old relaxing at our family getaway in Fort Valley Virginia. My father passed away back in 2006, and I still miss him every day. My mom still resides on Pimmit Dr. and is doing OK. I have a great relationship with my mother as well.

I remember the trips out to Great Falls. They were fun. Also the dances and football games. Homecoming and prom. We had a shop teacher that caught a lot of grief, it was funny at the time, but later on wished we had been nicer to him. I really enjoyed my journalism class with Mr. J. Paul Cregg. He was a nice man. He took us to New York for seminars and workshops at Columbia University.
