Comments:

I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a bachelor's in music ed. I taught a couple of years before we started our family was was lucky enough to be able to stay home for a few years. I went back to work at night while the kids were in school as an insurance adjuster. I was able to return to teaching when we moved to Florida, but switched to special ed, which I love. Now I'm finishing up my master's in reading. John and I aren't sure what we'll do when Ben goes to college; it's beautiful here but very expensive, and most of our family is back in San Antonio. We miss Texas bar-b-que and real Mexican food, but here we're 15 minutes from beautiful beaches and year-round fabulous weather. Ok, the weather's a little intense sometimes, but at least we get lots of early warning!

Mitch was the drum major his senior year of high school. He's enjoying marching in UCF's band now - they even got to march in a bowl game last year.

We were lucky to find a quiet, rural pocket in the urban sprawl that is the Fort Lauderdale area. The kids can fish from the back yard (when Grandpa Iguana lets them). Drive around and you'll see flocks of wild parrots, ibis, ducks, horses, and yes, even gators.
