School Story:
There are so many school stories and memories that I have that have become foot prints burnt in mind then filed with my other precious memories. I am bit baffled on how or where to begin, telling these crazy stories. The stories of us waiting and watching for Jimmy or Blacks to come with the Zion bread, and trying to make a dashing escape from the prefects or older guys that wanted “tek a bread from a grub.” Then, there was the incident of when Ali Baba had the confrontation with Mr. Tracy which resulted in Baba stoning Mr.Tracy in the Chemistry room. The days of practicing with the school choir, to sing for school graduation or some other school function. How about the cloak and dagger days of hiding to watch World Cup Football on Mr. Berry TV, or when during finals time pens, notebooks and calculators where a rare commodity and sometime sold at high price on the school grounds. The days of Admiral Bailey “della” move was the hottest dance around, with everyone at Knibb trying to master it. The days of occupying the sweat box aka, agriculture class room with no breeze . The embarrassing moment I was locked in the school bathroom due to standard procedure of school policy to lock the bathrooms.
