I am paying for it at work today, but still had a good time. It was good seeing eveyone there. We had a lot of good laughs. For all you wusses that skipped out, you missed a fun time!

Just an update on the Farmers football season. They won their fourth consecutive district title and 2nd consecutive AAA title two weeks ago. They won their 1st ever AAA playoff game last Friday at Hanby Stadium in Mesquite by beating the Eustace Bulldogs 17-14. They now face the Texarkana Plesant Grove Hawks Friday night in Mount Pleasant at 7:30 pm. Would love to see some of you make it out to their second round playoff game, however it is a long drive and it is supposed to be cold and wet, so I understand if nobody wanted to go. Just thought I would update all of you on the success that they are having this year. Their overall record right now is 8-3.

The Farmers fought hard Friday night, but came up 6 points short against a very good Pleasant Grove Hawk team! The Farmers had three cricitical and very questionable calls go against them that led to a 21 point difference in the game. Combine that with several turnovers and one extremely lucky tipped ball and catch for a touchdown for PG and it was impossible to come back. Against all odds, the Farmers still had an opportunity to win the game with about a minute left, but could not get it done. They finished the season at 8-4. This senior class accomplished many things and should make us Farmer alum very proud of them. They were AA DI Reg II Regional finalists their freshman year, AA DI State Champs their sophomore year, 13-AAA District Champs their junior year, and 13-AAA DII Region II area finalist their senior year. They helped restore the proud tradition of Farmer football. In addition to football, they excelled in many other aspects of school life and represented the spirit of Farmersville High very well. If you see any of these kids out and about, please congratulate them and wish them well in their futures.

Or give 'em a beer & a smoke and tell them life's over and get ready to go to work! LOL

lol...Yeah, I am quite sure several of the players did just that after the game there Hagler! Man, my heart hurt for them bad that night! Sure gave me flashbacks of our Pilot Point game and how gut wrenching that was. Life goes on, but if you run across any of those kids, give em a pat on the back as they truly did represent the spirit of Farmersville High in everything they did over the past four years! Excellent senior class that left a lasting legacy and made all Famersville alum proud!
