Terry Lee Miller, 65, of Fayetteville, N.C.. formerly of Curryville died unexpectedly Sunday, March 31, 2013 at his home. Graveside services with full military honors were Saturday at 11 a.m., at Curryville Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Gamm officiating. Visitation was Friday from 5-8 p.m., at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia. He was born Jan. 9, 1948 in Louisiana, the son of Howard S. and Lenora Maye (Holcumbrink) Miller. Survivors include two brothers, Larry W. Miller of Curryville and Len Miller of Beltoni; also survived by nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents He grew up in the Curryville and Bowling Green area and was a 1966 graduate of Bowling Green High School. Shortly after graduating, he joined the United States Air Force. Terry served his country in many different parts of the world while in th Air Force. He retired after 20 years of service and had been a flight superintendent during the last several years of his duty. Terry then continued working with the Air Force as a civilian contract worker. He retired just a few years ago and enjoyed his home in Fayetteville, which he had built himself. Pallbearers were Terry Miller, Creo Lee, Jim Edmond, Doug Carroll, David Carroll and Larry Raney.
