Cathy Carpenter, 63, of Hope Mills passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

Cathy was born in Wilmington, NC on September 12th, 1960 to parents James and Patrica Carpenter. She passed peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones.

She leaves behind her son, Jeffrey and wife Rebecca Coleman and daughter, Amanda Rivera ; grandchildren Weston, Alexis, Blaine and Asher Rivera and Mason Coleman; brothers, Jimmy Kelly and Michael Carpenter and sister, Sharon Heath. As well as many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Cathy was a fun, loving, outgoing and soulful person. She loved her family with her whole heart. Her greatest passion was being a grandma and nana to her grandchildren. She loved spoiling them every chance she could get. Cathy loved to spend time outside soaking up the sun. She especially loved the beach and being by the pool. She had a great love for cats, especially her little Bandit.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Patricia, nephew, Corey Barber and sister in law, Debbie Kelly.

Per Cathys request she was cremated and a celebration of life will be held for immediate family on a later date.
