Hey Billman...still miss ya. Any word whether you'll be spending Xmas w/your sweet daughter?

Question: Is 6 too old or too young to get that touch of whiskey as Billman suggested as a sleep aide to Gina for her little one? OMG! Dakota came into our rooom 4 or 5 times early this morning between 3:00 and about 4:45. Each time I would have just fallen asleep when she'd poke me in the forehead again. Crying...bad dreams...very unlike her, but one of those times while escorting her back to her bed along with the beagle for snuggle comfort, Bill's suggestion flitted thru my mind, and it did make me giggle. I thought of Gina and her plight of nightly sleep deprivation...how goes it Gina?

Tracy yeah I was kidding when I said give the lil one whiskey but I do know that it is something they did years back when a parent wouldnt get their kids taken away when they would discipline the lil rotten turds!! HAHA. Hope it is a one night thing! And No I will not be home for christmas, change in schedule! BOOOOOO! Headed to work now. Chat with you later.

Have a good day all!!

Scott P-That is hilarious! Nice Job!

Bill-Sorry you don't get to come home to see your daughter at Christmas. That really sucks!

Tracy-Hopefully your daughter's late night activities are a phase that passes quickly.

To All in case I don't get back to the Forum before the Holiday.....MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Please have a Safe and Joyous Holiday!

Tracy -- sorry to hear about the little one's nightly activities last night. I can certainly sympathize. We continue with our nightly struggles and I nearly lost my mind last night. I am at the breaking point. We did go to the doctor again today for an 18 month check-up and his ear was a little worse so we are starting antibiotics tonight......I am grasping at straws b/c the doctor said it really shouldn't be bothering him that bad to cause the struggles he puts up nightly. I am hoping this is the answer, if not, we are going to check out the sleep clinic @ St. Luke's for everyone's sanity. He had the entire house awake last night, even the poor dog was pacing the floor.

Bill -- sorry you will not make it home for Christmas.

Scott P.-- thanks for the quote.

Tracy and Gina I feel your pain for losing sleep with the little ones. My daughter would not sleep much until she was 6 or 7. Guess she got that from me. Even if she wasnt sick she wouldnt sleep and when she was there was no sleep for anyone. Hang in there, it will get better. Pretty soon you will be up all night wondering if they really are spending the night with a friend! Sound familiar. Maybe when we did that! HAHA Hope you both get a good nights sleep soon.

Thanks for the nice words on me missing Christmas with Bri! It sucks but not much I can do. The scheduling on this job changes daily. If I found out Wed, morning we are off Im driving straight to Bris house to get there for Christmas. Only 12 hr drive!

Take care all!

Gina, I'm so sorry you are having troubles with your little one sleeping. Our boys had their moments, but are good sleepers overall.
Bill, I hope you do get to come home for Christmas for your daughter. I hope she knows how much you want to be there and the effort you are making to do so.
Scott P, love the quotes, especially Ricky Bobby. I just crack up at that movie
I would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy Christmas. I hope you get the presents you want, and that you get as much time with your family as you can.

Gina...thought maybe since I hadn't heard anything on it lately that maybe the little guy was doing better. Sorry to hear that is not the case. Now I really feel bad for complaining about my 1 1/2 hours of lost sleep...
BTW, no one else ever got whatever Kota had...that stomach bug...thinking it was something she ate.

Hope everyone has a great weekend...shop and wrap...that's what mine will be all about! Thankfully, I've not got much shopping left to do...plenty of wrapping though!

Thanks for all of the sympathy for the brat that won't sleep. We tried a different bedtime routine last night, he slept thru the night; probably just a fluke b/c he knew I was at my breaking point:) Hopefully not, I'm gonna try it again tonight though. Wish me luck! It's amazing how much calmer the morning routine is when everyone has had their sleep!
Tracy -- no offense taken by your complaining about missing 1.5 hrs of sleep. I certainly sympathize. Glad to hear nobody else caught the "bug" or whatever it was that your youngest had. It must not have been the stomach virus b/c it is ripping thru households like nobody's business. I have multiple staff call in each day b/c of this nasty virus. It must be airborne b/c everybody in the house ends up getting it. Watch out!
Bill -- hang in there. At least you have some nice warm weather where you are. It pretty much stinks around here, I am certainly not a cold weather gal. It's a shame that you may have to work on Christmas, but I guess that is the nature of the beast. Same with healthcare, somebody has to work the holidays. It stinks, but it puts food on the table and gifts under the tree!

Merry Christmas Everyone! Please enjoy your time with your loved ones!

Sorry Scott!! Everyone's busy shopping or Wrapping or Out of Town!
I would have tried to get in trouble but was down with that Flu bug that Gina mentioned!
Hard to get into trouble when your wrapped around the porcelin god.
Didn't even have the benefit of having a good time the night before to offset my worship time.

Quote of the Day

Where do you think you're going? Nobody's leaving. Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no. We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here. We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas......

Quote of the night

Hey. If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, fore-fleshing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is. Hallelujah. Holy shit. Where's the Tylenol?

Shari...keep us posted on the band gig. Think we're going to plan a birthday celebration trip to Cape! There are a ton in Jan to celebrate besides you and I. Belinda, Cohoon, Nerd...oh, and we're gonna drag Pacino into our B-day celebrating as his birthday is the end of Dec...12/26 to be specific.

Happy belated birthday to our quote of the day boy!!! Everyone needs to make sure and drop Scotty a line wishing him a happy belated birthday. Poor baby tends to get overlooked due to Christmas.

Happy Birthday Scott!!!
