Jennifer, I was in Blaylock's class watch the shuttle explosion. I would be up for some golf around reunion time. LOM

I remember that in Mr. Blaylocks class too. I think he passed away a couple years ago. He was a good guy...

I was in Mr. Blaylocks class also when that happened. That was a sad day. He was my favorite teacher. I loved Romeo & Juliet...two households both alike in dignity in fair verona where we lay our scene...I can't remember the rest-lol. That's sad that he passed away. I vaguely remember someone writing answers on their fingernails, was that during romeo & juliet?

That's funny Nikki! I still remember many of those words from Romeo and Juliet too. He made us memorize that whole thing!

does anyone remeber James Lee? In Miss Albano 9th grade history class we had to resight the preamble and well he did a good job and so she told him that she give him an A if he said it everyday instead he chose to take an F

Franke Elliot and I were talking the other day and he wanted me to pass this along to the class. Would we be interested in getting together with the CC Class of 89 either before or after our reunion. Perhaps during the day. Your thoughts? LOM

Lom, as you know, I'm all for it. The more the merrier! Would we want to coordinate an event on the evening prior...perhaps after the football game a joint "reception" at a local watering hole? I think it would be great to see our friends from CC after 20 years!

I'm in favor of that Carson and Mark. Sounds great. Mr. Blaylock was one of my favorite teachers too. His classes were always fun.

You know, as we approach our 20th class reunion it is difficult not to reflect on our time at Festus I've seen several people mention favorite teachers. I'm curious...who would everyone rate as their favorite teachers...top 5...any/all grades. I'd be intrested to see who the favorites were.

Mine...in no paticular order: Miss Canepa, Mr. Spiker, Mrs. Neal, Mrs. Weber, Mr. Blaylock.

Ok this is going to be hard to name just 5, but Mrs. Duchatschek (5th grade) for sure and Mrs. Harris (6th grade, although her husband creeped me out a little-LOL remember him girls? Middle school PE coach), Mr. Blaylock, Mrs. Hill (1st grade) and I know this may sound strange but I really liked Coach Bach. Honorable mention: Mr. Womack (7th grade) 5 worst: Mr. Whitener, Mr. Lentz, Pitzer, Miss Hippert(4th grade) and I can't think of a 5th. For the most part I think we had some great teachers. Oh, just thought of a 5th worst: Peeler? or better known as Bucky Beaver-LOL.
As for getting together w/CC class of 89, that sounds good.

I forgot to add Miss Canepa to my top 5. She was great! Of course, she wasn't married and had no kids, so we were all like her own little family. She was so thoughtful and caring.

I can't remember favorites right now... I'm sure there were but I do remember Mr. Peeler...and oh that was bad! There was another lady teacher and I can't remember her name but remember feeling sorry for her. Students would make fun of her. I think I remember her being in the corner classroom towards the back. Poor thing... she had no clue how to run a class. I think she may have been a sub???

Anyway, I did like the algebra teacher and the one that taught fly fishing... yes I took fly fishing but it was fun! ha-ha

I just got an email about this site today. Great job Charles! I didn't hear about the 10th reunion until it was over. Sounds like I missed a great party.

About the CC question from earlier in the month, I went to Crystal K through 6th so I would definitely be interested in seing some of those people too. Tracy McKiddy went to Crystal in grade school. I specifically remember her being in my 5th grade homeroom.
