Lacey Cooper Escandon

I've been raising my kids and teaching, teaching, teaching. I married in 1992 and divorced. I'm currently engaged to my significant other of almost 6 years. I will have a different last name by the time we have our reunion. I'm a proud homeowner in Anthem, where I teach Spanish, and I frequently stay in touch with my friends from CHS here on Facebook, as well as my friends from my profession, from Flagstaff and Sedona.

I was known as the Cooper boys' (class of '88) little sister. When I walked into Ms. Rice's Creative Writing class for the first time, she saw my last name and said, "Cary told me you were coming to me. Let's see if you're as awesome a writer as your brothers." I think I got an A in her class, thanks to my bro's.

Not too funny, but my memory is fading like the wispy clouds in the sky promising an elusive monsoon that won't happen today in this 94 degree Flagstaff heat, as I sit and write this on the breezy deck of my dad's house, summer of 2009.
