Barbara weas one of the nicest , smartest and most likely to succeed girls in the Homewood area. When she was diagnosed with multimpole schlerosis is was a tragedy beyond compare for all of us. Her mother brought her to everything and carried her up those stairs in the gym. she was a heroic mother and Barbara was a real heroine. She kept up with her schoolwork, used a wheelchair as long as she could and then studied from home. I vistied her when I came home from college, but not nearly as often as I should have. She loved to hear about our lives, but I just felt constantly guilty for having so much fun while she continued to decline.
I think of her often still. Glad she was on this list.
