Wow!!! What can I say...so many memories, so much time passed, so many gone, but not forgotten.

I have spent many hours the past couple of days on this site. I recieved a note from Mike Haluski telling me about the site and since then I have spent a lot of time reminiscing (sp?)

I have been retired because of disability since about 2004. I worked in the grocery business most of my life, Winn-Dixie for over 15 years, a gorcery wholesaler in Knoxville Tennessee, and ended up in Virginia working for Food Lion. I slipped on a wet floor and destroyed my left knee, had 3 arthroscopic surgeries, and then total knee replacement twice, and then the doctors rated me as losing 50% of the use of my left leg. Then over the next few years I had to have a triple bypass, then heart failure, and several strokes. Of course I have always had a gardian angel looking over me most of my life. I was in a car accident in 1978 and broke my neck (the same bones broken that Christopher Reeve (Superman in the movies ) broke. But I kept on kicking. I also have a blood disorder (genetics..so wonderful) that causes my blood to clot to quickly and too much. Resulting in Pulmonary Embolism's in the lungs. and boy does that hurt!!! Like I said genetics, my Mother, father, brother, sister and daughter have also had the same problems, and that is what caused my brother to pass away in the early 1980's.

Now I am faced with the fact that my wife of over 32 years has just recently had a massive stroke. She is paralysed completely on her right side and can only speak a word or two occasionally. She is now living in a nursing home and I go see her as much as possible, thank goodness for paratransit services, since I gave up driving after my strokes.

But I believe that God has a plan for us and I am satisfied to do what I can to live up to his plan.
