Obituary for Linda Elinor (Guderian) Ault

Linda Elinor Ault, 73, of Clinton, Wisconsin formerly of Fort Dodge, returned to her Savior's arms Friday, September 16, 2022.

Linda was born March 22, 1949, to LeRoy and Elinor (Peterson) Guderian, moments before her cousin “twin” Margene. She received the gift of Holy Baptism on April 10, 1949 and confirmed her Christian faith in the rite of Confirmation on April 28, 1963. She attended Fort Dodge Senior High (‘67) and worked at Safeway where she met her beloved husband of 53 years, Richard (Dick) Ault.

Linda was an adoring mother and grandmother, guiding, encouraging, and supporting them in their interests and endeavors. She was an amazing listener, advisor, and friend to everyone she met. In times of frustration, she could be heard uttering such expletives as “well Lord love a duck” to the amusement of those in earshot. She touched the lives of so many through her volunteer work in Ladies Aide, Sunday School Teacher, school room mother, Brownie leader, Women’s Society, Vacation Bible School teacher and ceramic guru, Lutheran Women's
Missionary League, confirmation teacher, food pantry, church historian, and the Deaf Ministry board. Her passion for serving the Lord and His children was also evident through her 32 years as church secretary of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Clinton. She was an accomplished artist and crafter sharing her talents as gifts to many. Her artistic talents spanned many medias, and there was nothing she couldn’t draw, paint, sketch, stitch, crochet, or sew.

She is preceded by her parents and dear sister-in-law, Linda Ault Enfield. She is survived by her husband, daughter Cindy, grandchildren Rory and Deklin Linney, sister Judith Guderian, and many cousins, bonus children, and dear friends around the world.
